Further to my post regarding z790 Hero not booting, I returned the motherboard to Amazon and as the Dark Hero was available from Overclockers for £10 more I decided to go for that, particularly as it supported the i9-14900KF from go.
As the last instal had gone so badly, i built a bare bones system, with an air cooler, Samsung 960EVO, Corsair DDR5 6200 Memory, Microsoft Keyboard, Kata mouse and Corsair RM850 Power supply. On boot up it hangs D6 and the VGA and Boot LED are illuminated. Following another post which recommended Bios Flashback, I gave that a try.
This seemed to go well following the ASUS support video, so I rebooted and again it comes back to D6 with no display from the built in HDMI port. I also tried clearing the Bios to no avail. I am loath to try the full build as it means stripping down my existing build, which is what I did before.
I would be grateful for any help on this as I am loosing faith with ASUS, particularly as you have to download the user manual
