Make Future Motherboard Feature Suggestions Here!

Hi all,

ASUS ROG is requesting our best suggestions for ROG product improvements. As a moderator I won’t have the ability to implement your suggestions but I will be picking some of the best to highlight for the ROG team so they know what matters to us, the community.

Some guidelines for this thread:
1) Keep it positive and constructive. In most of the forum I try to allow you all to express your thoughts freely (within reason). This thread has the express purpose of generating constructive suggestions so I will be moderating this thread and deleting posts that do not contribute to that goal.
2) Keep it concise and on topic. Some minor discussion regarding a specific suggestion is welcome but if you would like to have a longer conversation I ask you start an additional thread and link it in your post here. You can also request a moderator move your posts if you have need.
3) Try for realistic ideas that appeal broadly to gamers. A small improvement on an existing ROG product is much more likely to get chosen than an entirely new product that only matters to a small number of people.
4) Support your favorites! You don’t have to come up with a suggestion to help. If you see something you like, quote it and say so! More support for an idea improves its chances.

EDIT:
I’ve updated the titles for these feedback threads to reflect that this is primarily for *future* products. Sorry for the lack of clarity. While there is a chance some ideas could be implemented via software updates it’s most likely any suggestions would be rolled into new products.
Also, these threads are not for issue reporting and such posts won’t reach the right people. Please post issues in the ROG Care > Hardware & Software Support section. Or contact ASUS support via phone or email for immediate assistance.

when your left with the 2nd or 3rd option for your "SINGLE" gpu placement, make everything if possible still work the same. "Example" I have ekwb active backplane, on a Rog Z790 Maximus Extreme, i can not put into the First slot, so i have to use the second one. well that just knocks off my pcie 5.0 nvme. Please Fix in the Bios if you Can. im not shure, because of the layout of the traces and such, but if it can be done do it.

Make Dual Boot Built in. as a Option, you get a screen to select your drive, that you can change the background and button icons. that would be so cool, i know i can do it with software, but at the bare metal, yes! also it would change your bios settings based on what you selected. "example" i select hackintosh and it turns off, all the devices, that are not needed/work, then boots the drive. Same with like game mode or work mode, that gives or takes away features and makes run faster or slower, i shut down re-boot and i put pc in NAS/SERVER mode that runs smooth low power while i goto work. or it jusst boot into a complete game server i setup, that i can acces from out of my home. Nobody has this stuff, and your running out of time/ideas from differenting yourself from others, its gonna be a year until intel has a new cpu, chipset, well get crackin! 🙂

Hi, ASUS ROG community! To enhance ROG products, suggest practical, gamer-centric improvements. Keep it positive, concise, and realistic, focusing on existing products. Support fellow suggestions to boost their visibility. Let's collaboratively contribute for a better gaming experience. Thanks for your valuable input!

Try to de-complexify the bundled utilities. With today's lazy javascript coding, even the tiniest utility comes weighing at a hefty 5GB. Divide the large package into smaller dedicated utilities with just 1 function but make sure each one works - then you (asus) will see what is in demand (by # downloads). Specific example - as a gamer I am often at a loss which key or combination of keys to press in this particular game to save a screenshot or a short video. If ROG had a utility that would poll F11 and F12 to save a screenshot by F12 and past (5-15sec) video by F11 (one press=5s, 2=10s, 3=15s) regardless of a game or operating system. Possibly by using built-in microsoft or nvidia functions. The goal here is to simplify the interface. Example: instead of Win+Alt+Shift+F8 or whatever to do this, just press F11 once or twice. Or F12 (which is the accepted screenshot key for BIOS - for whatever reason not the PrtSc) for an image.

e Dp 2.1  and Oculink, Also a Dual Chipset/channel thunderbolt 5 card pcie 4.0 x8 would leave plenty of headroom. Make a $1000 Pcie 4.0 Capture Card for HDMI 2.1 and Displayport 2.1  YES!  Well it is almost Christmas, Get on it.  🙂  i had to look up the math and convert some numbers. whooo. 🙂

I've used ASUS electronics since maybe 1990s and like ASUS a lot.  I like that you still make some system-/logic-/main-/mother-boards with plain PCI slots--I guess Intel H610 chipset--but disappointed to see they're only micro-ATX with only one plain PCI slot.  I still need at least two plain PCI slots for irreplaceable hardware: SCSI-2 card for 12x18" (304x457mm) scanner (my operating systems can't use that scanner converted to USB if UMAX even converts them anymore) and soundcard with front 5.25" (133mm) bay panel with sockets & volume knobs, etc.  It'd be great to see the return of full-ATX or even EATX/SSI-CEB system-boards with at least two plain PCI slots (and maybe eight or more slots including PCIe because display/video/graphics cards can take four slots so you have almost none left).  AMD CPU (more threads for compiling) options would be good.  Of course, I only use IBM model M keyboards--PS/2--which would be nice to still have dual/combined keyboard/mouse socket for, though these work with adapter/cable to USB.

Hi, I recently bought PRIME B760-PLUS D4 with Corsair 32GB 3200 MHZ (CMK32GX4M2E3200C16). Although I have had to write the data by hand. Speed, time and voltage, Works well.

If you can add a profile for Corsair 32GB 3200 MHZ (CMK32GX4M2E3200C16) Because I have seen it when configuring it by hand. And it is selling a lot in amazon in combo. And with better compatibility for everyone, better

Support Microsoft Dynamic lighting already, so I can control the LEDs from Windows without the need to install 3rd party bloatware.

Asrock started supporting it from today.

Suggestion from an owner of Z790 Maximus Eva02, the M.2 slot heatsink at the bottom which covers two M.2 slots -> suggest to change to 2pieces of heatsinks instead of one-single piece, reason being, when i have two M.2 drives, I installed one at the top (below CPU), and another piece at the bottom. Next month when I want to add another M.2 drive, I will need to take off the heatsink which currently covers the M.2 drive at the bottom, a little difficult because the thermal pad is sticking to existing drive already. Have to use some force to move the heatsink to take off. Now that we took it off, the thermal pad of that drive is not that sticky already, stick it back again may impact thermal performance? Maybe it won't affect, but still..the difficult part of taking off since already stick. If the heatsink is a separate piece, then it will be much easier.
