Intel Wi-Fi 6# AX411 160Mhz #4 on ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme

I'm having trouble with my new  ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme  mobo with regards to the Intel Wi-Fi 6# AX411 160Mhz driver.  I can't seem to get the Wi-Fi or the Bluetooth for that matter to detect.

The Device reports a cannot start (Code 10) and Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.

I've tried to use the Intel assistant and manually installing the latest and previous from latest drivers manually.

I'd be grateful for any thoughtful responses on how to try to resolve this.

Z690 Hero, 12900K, BIOS 4001, MEI 2433.6.3.0, ME Firmware 16.1.32.2473, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

Here's a suggestion for you - turn off Wi-fi and Bluetooth in BIOS, reboot and then turn them back on. That has worked for others. I can't remember where those settings live in BIOS, but you'll find them. If no luck, do the same again but with a complete power off at the PSU before re-enabling them. Hope that helps!

Edit - oh, I didn't see that you had tried that. I'd try again with the PSU power off option. You might also try resetting the BIOS to defaults as well, then set it up again. Maybe my suggestion won't help, but I'm sure it has worked for other people.

Thanks John.  I'm trying this now.

Rulik006 just thank you for replying.  While I didn't try your solution, it was nice to read others experiencing the issue and that the 1402 BIOS update may have been the root cause.

Just in case, the AX411 is a CNVio card and requires motherboard/processor components to operate.   So, things like chipset drivers may be needed.  I have been running that card on my 2022 Z790 Hero, without problems.
