Today I found new driver added to ROG Strix Z790-E called Intel DTT. It never previously was listed in driver section for this board.
Anyone know what this driver is for and what exactly it does?

DTT enabled in Bios, drivers installed, Win11, Z690 Formula and 13900K: nothing changed.
Installed via MS Store the new Intel Application Optmization: it does not work.
Conclusione: these are features for 14th Gen Intel Processors (Raptor Lake Refresh) so useless for 12th and 13th gens.

So now it seems that its only working on 14th gen and this DTT is for new application/game optimizer app. Overall this is kinda bogus that Intel made this feature only for 14th gen as 13th gen is the same in architecture and overal 14th, 13th and even 12th gen are all the same cpus.... So it could be marketing move so people push to buy new 14th gen... Conclusion at least for now: unfortunately absolutely useless feature..

Interesting, thanks. I won't bother trying to turn it on then!

Only the Intel Application Optimization app requires 14th gen cpu's
The FaQ at the bottom is a good read as well.

The Intel DTT user guide states:
Intel® DTT is supported on systems with: 11th Generation Intel® Processors and newer

I also agree that we need Gamers Nexus to do a full test pass on this

Intel DTT is great for laptops. I have it on my LegionPro 7i gen 8 4080. For desktops!? No need unless you have a really crappy cooling system or using a battery pack to power your pc.... hahaha! From what I remember it enables "adjustment on the fly" of PL1 PL2, cpu temperature, total processor power target and other processor power limit features.

Yeah they added Intel DTT with BIOS 1402, not sure it if even works for 13 gen. I have never used DTT before.
It supposedly require OS driver as well and adjust power levels of CPU in a "smart" way.
Dynamic Tuning 2.0
Earlier we mentioned that Ice Lake features Dynamic Tuning 2.0. Dynamic Tuning was first introduced with Kaby Lake G in order to better coordinate the system power between the AMD GPU and the Intel CPU that were both integrated onto the same package. On Ice Lake, Intel uses machine learning in order to better optimize the performance and power of the microprocessor. The chip uses a number of machine learning algorithms in order to optimize, within PL2 and PL4 thermal envelopes, the behavior of the overall system in order to maximize the performance and responsiveness based on the workload being used which allows for longer turbo periods. The feature relies on OS-level interactions and is supported by both Windows and Linux.

That driver is for the i7-i9 14th gen cpu that you need for Intel Application Optimization (APO) in order for the app to work. This new Application is used in gaming to increase proformace not many reviewers are mentioning it as of now it only supports 2 games but the list will grow. imo I think it's going to be a game changer for intel to compete with AMD's 3d chipset

I have a z790i, an Intel Core 14700k, GNA enabled on the bios, I installed the DTT drivers, I've also fixed the install.bat to include the missed drivers (as for the Intel's suggestion), but Intel Application Optmization doesn't work.

Finally I activated it.
On my Rog z790i bios:
Then on the DTT drivers I changed the 6th line of the install.bat as:
