I recently built a PC, my first ever PC. And I used good components. But…

When I try to run 2 sticks of DDR5 gskill trident Z5 in my Asus Rog Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi II.
nothing works. And my fans to my radiator are on high I believe turbo high. The rest of the fans are running higher than normal as well, monitors won’t work, orange dot is on.

So why can’t I use two sticks of ram on this board? Is this a known faulty function or something?
someone please help.
Thank you!

make sure you are using the correct slots a2 and b2 (slots 2 and 4) when inserting 2 sticks of ram.

Have you tried BIOS defaults? What CPU and memory type/speed do you have? It's hard to help without much information. Look at the motherboard sticker as well, the last 4 digits will be the supplied BIOS version. Is it old?
