Hi all, as the title says, I'm having difficulties with disabling undervolt protection on my system / motherboard.
I'm trying to follow some guides on undervolting with my motherboard / CPU combination specifically using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, and the Intel utility says I have undervolting protection enabled and I must disable it before I can use the core voltage offset function.
I've seen comments scattered around on the internet that I need to visit tweaker's paradise in the BIOS and disable an option called undervolt protection, but I swear there is no such option on my version of the BIOS. I have looked in every menu, and even used the BIOS search feature - nothing shows up.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try? Ultimately I just want to undervolt this CPU a bit to tame the temperatures as much as possible. If there is a different way of doing that with my hardware that I should try, I'm open to any ideas and suggestions.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi @kylefriedman03
Use the search function available at the top of the UEFI. Type in Undervolt Protection, it should find the setting, as well as its location.

@Silent_Scone Hey I appreciate the help, I tried that already though. It comes up blank no matter what combinations of keywords I use. I've tried "undervolt", "under volt", "undervolt protection", "protection", etc etc. No hits.

Apologies, but it seems this feature may not be available on lower-end chipsets depending on the UEFI version. It usually resides under Extreme Tweaker > Tweakers Paradise.
Try looking for the option to switch microcode:

Hey @Silent_Scone thanks again no worries, I appreciate the help.
I did find the microcode, I've tried it on default and on 104, Intel XTU still shows undervolt protection is enabled and I can't edit. I am able to configure offsets in the BIOS with the 104 microcode enabled so that method of undervolting seems to work. But regardless, still can't seem to get Intel XTU to work.
Do you think I should open a ticket with Asus support, have you ever done so? Are they knowledgeable about stuff like this?
