Hard Drive Device Name in Boot Menu

I have a Strix Z690-E motherboard. I have multiple NVME SSD's with multiple OS partitions.

All of the OS drives are the same brand and model. In the UEFI boot menu, they all have the same label. This can make it hard to be sure which drive the mother board will boot from.

I'd like to be able to change the label for the individual drive in the boot menu.

Is this possible?

I don't think so. I have the same issue with two identical hard drives. The only way I can tell the difference is to make a note of which SATA sockets (or M.2 sockets in your case) they are plugged into. The BIOS doesn't display the serial numbers, so no easy way to identify them that I can tell. It's easier in Windows of course, something like Crystal Disk Info will display the serial number of each drive.

In Windows, I name the drives to include the port/socket number that each drive is plugged into - makes life a little easier, but it won't help in the BIOS, unless you make a note of the ports/sockets being used in advance.

Z690 Hero, BIOS 2802, MEI 2336.5.2.0, ME Firmware 16.1.30.2307, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, i9 12900K, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 22H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.
