GSkill Memory Kit F5-6000U3636E16GX2-TZ5RK

I finally got a 6000 kit, GSkill*F5-6000U3636E16GX2-TZ5RK. Took several days with Ramtest and Memtest86 to get it stable with a Maximus extreme Z690 and 12900k. This is what I ended up with:

*VDD 1.42
*VDDQ 1.42
*VDDQTX 1.42
*MC VDD 1.24
SAV Auto

Works quite well. My question is since the memory controller is now on the memory modules themselves, does that mean these settings should work on a different Z690 extreme motherboard? Every MB, CPU, memory module is unique, but do the same old rules apply here since the IMC is no longer on the CPU? Thanks.

I have had a problems with similar memory model - F5-6000U3636E16GX2-TZ5K memory Kit. It boots properly with XMP turned on, but during game it was failed, sometimes just game, sometimes BSOD.

Meanwile, turning XMP off (using 'Load Defaults' option) caused to stable work without any issues.

I've tried your settings on my memory module and my MB ROG STRIX Z690-F GAMING WIFI and initially it seems to work fine (for about 1.5 hours of gaming, but after that game was crashed.

It was very confusing since Memtest86 from BIOS either Memory Test from Windows didn't find any errors.

Finally, I've found memory test program TestMem5 with 'hard' configuration. After 1 hours of test it shown everything is fine, but I've tried to run it again and got BSOD in a second.

It means, unfortunatelly, even some settings can works well for you, it may not work well on very similar chipsed + memory (and little different mobo).

Also, I've found memory was quite 'hot' after test, not sure if those values are critical but reached 66-68 C that not seems very well as for me.

As for myy next step I will ask service support to change my memory to more slower module with lower voltage (e.g. some of G.Skill 5600) and hope it will be able to work well with my settings.

You will get an error fairly quickly if your memory isn’t tuned correctly. I spent several days with lots of errors tuning the voltages until I found my settings. If I reduce the VDD or VDDQ for example to about 1.35V, the errors pop up quickly. As I increased the voltage at 5-10mV, it took longer to produce an error. I then used memtest86 pro to try to reproduce any errors for those presumed stable settings. It takes several days to tune correctly.

Hopper, it's the power management controller or PMIC that is now integrated on the module. The memory controller still resides on the CPU.
