Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) or Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS Legacy) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hi,

You are in the wrong thread.

You have an ASUS PRIME DTS:X Ultra motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTSX Ultra) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx & Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx).

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

He seemed to have removed them for some reason, these newer drivers do not work with some earlier USB Audio gen boards (ALC408) is there a way you can leave up the "Legacy" drivers for those boards? I understand that you do not work for ASUS and you do this out of passion, I would also be willing to help the community myself, an offer to help you, I do this stuff for a living, I own a computer company that builds computers of all kinds, I use some of your drivers (mainly audio and chipset Intel/AMD) I would also post latest drivers and such but I do not want to step on your toes. Either way thank you for what you do for the community!

Hi Mokichu, I just wanted to confirm I am in the right thread, I recently got a ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI D4, and accidentally attempted to install the drivers on ASUS' support page, it made a mess, nothing works, or installs, so I will have to try a clean install now, but ASUS mentions both Realtek USB Audio and Realtek Audio under the support page for this motherboard, since it has a ALC4080, these drivers under this thread should be it, right?

Thank you.

You are the best ever!

Mokichu, quick question, something I noticed, ASUS advertises Sonic Studio on the Z-790A D4 webpage, but your audio package doesn't include it, what is the reason for that?

I was able to do a clean install and your package installed, Realtek Audio Panel and DTS app works but no option for me to upmix stereo to my 5.1 speakers as I used to do with Sonic Studio.
