TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency

I have the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO motherboard, which Realtek Audio drivers do I choose in your driver list?

Thanks ahead of time.

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Thanks for the information.

Hey upon installing the first driver package (ASUS ROG Z690 MAXIMUS HERO), my Logitech 5.1 system show as if I only had the black 3.5 mm jack connected, cant change any settings either. Not even SS3 lets me change anything, although its starting normally. Realtek Audio Console has never been working for me. Now here is the thing, I recently made a clean install of Win11! On Win10 atleast SS3 worked, same with changing surround, etc. Now after installing 11, everything is a mess, atleast driver wise. cannot even install realtek audio console without downloading an offline install package. the fk is microsoft/asus doing?

also, it shows as "Realtek USB 2.0 Audio" when i clearly connected three (rear, front and sub/center) cables to the corresponding jacks on my motherboard... i feel like im stupid, your drivers always worked so far, but now with win11, everything's a mess... maybe someone is experiencing something similar

Hi, thanks for the contribution here. Well appreciated.

If I have am5 Asus strix x670e-e and install this rog dts driver which seems to work, I don't need to install the drivers from the other link, right?

It's a big confusing that one has usb and other non-usb in title.

The difference between the audio drivers from this thread and from the other thread that you linked is the internal audio interface used. ASUS motherboards will use the USB internal audio interface for mainly 2 scenarios :

- Go beyond the limitations of the traditional audio interface (which supports up to 32-Bit/192kHz) and in order to be able to use ALC408x codec to supports up to 32-Bit/384 kHz.
- By motherboard chipset limitation in the case of AMD TRX40-based motherboards which does not allow the use of the traditional audio interface.

Also, if you wonder how to determine which audio drivers does a motherboard need, please refer to this post : https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/downloads-for-motherboards/drivers-realtek-usb-audio-amd-5xx-6xx-trx40....
