Hi,
You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :
You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.
Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.
The difference between the audio drivers from this thread and from the other thread that you linked is the internal audio interface used. ASUS motherboards will use the USB internal audio interface for mainly 2 scenarios :
Also, if you wonder how to determine which audio drivers does a motherboard need, please refer to this post : https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/downloads-for-motherboards/drivers-realtek-usb-audio-amd-5xx-6xx-trx40....

Thanks for the clarification. I installed the driver from their support page of the motherboard but it was giving issue.
Thankfully, followed your instruction in OP and installed it 2 weeks ago and everything seems to work, specially with the app.
I guess for update I just overwrite new zip file (new version) and run install, no need to remove or clean again.

I seem to be missing the option in the Realtek Audio Console to separate the front and back mic input as 2 sperate inputs (Separate all input jacks as independent input devices) I did have it and now its missing, already tried to remove and reinstall driver, as well as properly uninstalling and checking if anything was leftover using Driver Store Explorer...no luck.

Same as you with my b760-f strix...
On my CM audio output on rear and on front panel headphone at the same time when I select "Headephones"
That's pretty annoying...
