TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Success! 🙂 🙂 🙂 This is what I did....

I ran update.cmd as admin. First time it got stuck near the end, but second time it worked (lots of drivers were installed), then the PC restarted automatically
After reboot, Audio Console and Sonic Studio were still missing and I still couldn't install them (just spinning circles in MS Store this time, but no error)
So next, I tried to run install.cmd (again, as admin) in the drivers folder and rebooted
After reboot I managed to install Realtek Audio Console and Sonic 3 manually.
Both are now working properly

===

*** Thank you MoKiChU. You are a GENIUS ***

I have attached two more images of my drivers after success for information

===

I am also copying my own modified notes below (for the 690 Hero). These are based on MokiChU's original notes, but mine are modified slightly as this procedure worked for me:

A. CLEANUP
=========

If you already have the following installed:

Realtek USB Audio Drivers
Realtek Audio Control/Console
Sonic Studio III
Sonic Radar III
DTS Sound Unbound

Uninstall them by going to Start > Settings > Apps. Right click and select uninstall, then restart the PC

Launch Driver Store Explorer as admin. Check the boxes of any drivers (*.inf) beginning with:

a-volute
avolute
dts
extrtxusb
hdx
realtek
rtdusbad

Check the box "force deletion" then click on the "delete driver(s)" button

Next, Open Device Manager. Under "View" check "Show hidden devices". Look in "Sofware components" for the following:

DTS Audio Effects Component
DTS APO4x Service Component

If present, uninstall them with right-click/uninstall device and restart the PC

Now run the SS3 Cleaner software - right click on "A-Volute_SS3_Cleanup.exe". Run as administrator and then restart the PC

B. INSTALL DRIVERS
===============

For the Z690 Hero, get a copy of MokiChU's ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound Drivers (latest v6.3.9600.2345).
Make sure the zip file is unblocked (right click on the zip, select properties and then select 'unblock' if the option is there)
Extract the drivers folder
In the drivers folder, run update.cmd as admin. It should install lots of driver packages and restart automatically
If it freezes, wait for a while, then close it and try again
Once rebooted, run install.cmd as admin, wait for the installer to finish and reboot
If they are not installed already, install what you want manually through the MS App Store (links below):

I follow the whole instructions from clean up processes, installing.

Was hoping this would either solve one of my game crashing during launch up but it didnt seem to resolve it. (Games like Deep Rock Galatic) It seems to dislike SS3 or Nahimic Service running. (cause when i disable it, it doesnt crash when i launch the game)

(Running 13700K with Z790 Hero)

Interesting. At least you have them working, even if they do not like your game. Getting them installed at all, it seems, is a major achievement lol

Thank you.

Hey All,
New here, already done some extensive searching + support ticket to Asus, but with no success there, so here I go.

Motherboard: ROG STRIX Z790-I GAMING WIFI
Audio: done by ROG Strix Hive
Issue: not possible to enable microphone listnening (loopback) in a usefull manner:
- when done via Windows settings (Sound - Recording - Microphone (Realtek USB Audio) - Listen - Listen to this device), hundreds of ms delay present
(what is common from what I've experienced)
- not possible to enable it in Realtek Audio Console (ROG branded) as setting is missing from the UI
- no other Realtek control panel available

Already on drivers 6.3.9600.2347
I can include screenshots, but I think the text above describes it all

Anyone else faced this kind of an issue and found a solution?

Hi,

Since you have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, you will find this feature in the SS3 app (to be more precise this feature is implemented in 2 modes in SS3 : Direct Monitor for basic use or Virtual Mixer AIMed for streamer/YouTuber) :

Sonic Studio 3 app > RECORD STUDIO tab :

- BASIC MODE > DIRECT MONITOR : ON

or
- VIRTUAL MIXER > VIRTUAL MIXER : ON

From your motherboard overview page wrote:
"SONIC STUDIO VIRTUAL MIXER : Combine audio output from selected apps with audio from the microphone input and stream the compiled mix."

Hey,

Thx for the reply, but even when this feature enabled via SS3, the delay is present to that degree that I can't use it in voicechat of anysort as first I hear my real voice and after XXX ms (could measure that but it's noticable) I hear my voice once again through headset - as the result I start to speak slower and slower to align with what I hear (can't control it).

That's the key of the issue - I forgot to mention that I've already found this option in SS3 and still faced the delay, sorry.
