Hi MoKiChU,

at first, thanks for your great work.

Following problem:

I have the ROG STRIX Z690-I GAMING WIFI mainboard and i can only use your "Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS)" in Version 6.3.9600.2307.
This is the only version, where i can activate DTS Interactive 5.1 in the Windows Sound Options.
Every Version after 2307 i tried (v2311, v2329, v2330 and now the v2342) i can successfully (clean) install the drivers, but after a reboot, there are no 5.1 options available.
If i follow your cleaning guide again and reinstall the 2307, the 5.1 options is available again.

I do not understand why this is happening. Do you have any idea?

Kind regards

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

MoKiChU, Thank You so very much.....

That's what I thought, but I'm still having issue with the drivers, popping on startup. Even with a clean Windows 10 Pro install. If the default driver install at clean install, no popping what so ever, but as soon as you use these drivers, it happens....

Don't know what the deal is.... But do appreciated your help.:D

Hi,

- If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter only on startup or shutdown, and that this also happens with drivers from your motherboard support page, but it doesn't happen with generic Microsoft built-in drivers, it's not really an issue, it is the switching power on/off of the amplification that generic Microsoft built-in drivers don't know how to use/manage (hence the "issue" does not occur with the generic Microsoft built-in drivers).

- If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter randomly and during audio playback of content, follow these 2 TIPS (also visible at the bottom of the first post of all my audio drivers threads) :

1) Disable hibernation :

- Right-click Windows Start button then click Search.
- Search for cmd. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt and then click Run as administrator.
- If/When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
- At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off and then press Enter then close the Command Prompt.

2) Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_util_v3.exe" > Run as administrator), then Apply, then close MSI Mode Utility & restart your PC.

/!\ Note /!\ : Do not go beyond 48000Hz 24Bits. If you go beyond 48000Hz 24Bits, DTS Sound Unbound will not work, and SS3 may generate crashes or lag spike with some apps/games.

Hiho,

I installed 2342 SS3-DTS to my asus z690-e gaming and everything works except for:

Realtek USB Audio Analog Speakers in 5.1 with small satellites does not obey the Realtek Audio Console Bass Management on switch and it offers no spatial modes.
Realtek Digital Output switches my receiver to DTS and Dolby in the properties/supported formats panel, but Dolby makes no sound.
