anybody know why the volume goes up and down while watching a movie on my TV with the audio going trouth "Line In" into my headphones on my PC?
I got Asus Z590 Hero.
The volume goes up when something loud happens in the movie and goes lower again when the movie is quiet again. I would expect it to be the opposite; that loud audio gets quiet and quiet audio goes up but...

Hello
For software is any of this optional/Mandatory?
Realtek Audio Control/Console - Mandatory?
Sonic Studio III - Mandatory?
Sonic Radar III - useless?
DTS Sound Unbound -needed/beneficial?

Not having much luck with z690 Hero on a clean windows 11 install. The Realtek console will not open. Also rtkauduservice64 Just sits at around 10% cpu useage the entire time.

I tried the drivers on the asus support page without these 2 issues but being a older driver. *

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Also, to avoid ZoneID blocking trouble :

- For each downloaded .zip : ZoneID unblock the .zip (Right click on the .zip file > Properties > Check the box Unblock > OK).

or

- Disable the ZoneID blocking completely (you will no longer have to unblock each downloaded .zip) :

- Right-click Windows Start button then click Launch then type gpedit.msc > OK
- User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager
- Do not preserve zone information in file attachment : Enabled > OK.

No luck 😞

Hei!
I uninstalled all audio drivers and i am using now there standard windows drivers.
I have the problem now that windows update keeps installing "A-Volute - SoftwareComponent - 3.3.3.0" i cant get rid of it! installing it an using driverstore to uninstall works, but a cople of hours later it comes back into windows updates.
secondly under optional upates there is more; but they dont bother me much since i just dont chose them to install. 91001
