OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

I want to install your ASUS driver but only the Realtek driver and RealtekHSA component to support download of the Realtek Audio Console, none of the other Nahimic/A-Volute/Sonic Studio components. How to do that ?

I have the ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO (WI-FI) which installation should I choose?

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Well according to some people, update for Nahimic on the Microsoft Store to version 1.5.4.0 makes everything bug ... Great I'll wait for a true fix from Asus. Idk if there's a reason for them to not update drivers AND forcing half of their package on the Windows Store being updated by force ...

One of the reasons why I registered to this forum is because of lack of official driver updates on main pages of my motherboard (ASUS TUF Z370 PLUS Gaming, BIOS is regularly updated). Thanks for the updates

Thank you so much!!! this information helps me so much!!!

Hello,
Is there a new driver because since I installed my Maximus XII formula motherboard and my I7 10700k I can't get DTS in my games (bad sound) while for movies it works very well good ?? I specify that I am connected to the optical output of my logitech z906 on output 3 of the console the decode light is on when I watch movies but switches to the stereo light for games ??
realtek 6.0.8960.1 drivers
UI version 1.12.219.0

sorry for my English

Hi,

I have no analogue audio out (rear green mobo output) when audio enhancement is enabled (in windows or Realtek audio Console). It works fine if I disable enhancements but then I lose the functionality of SS3 - I want to be able to use the equalizer. Digital audio works fine over usb to an external DAC; however, I cannot use SS3 to shape this digital audio. I suspect it's an issue with one of the SS3 drivers.

This problem started when I updated Windows 10 to Version 20H2. I've followed MoKiChU's instructions (ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard) and conducted a full cleanup and reinstall a couple of times with no luck. I also completely uninstalled third party Yamaha drivers for my DAC and disconnected it during this process to avoid any driver conflicts.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks for replying MoKiChu! I didn't expect an answer so fast! You are just as awesome as everyone has said on these forums!

I'm on Windows x64 1909 (Edu, as you said a version of enterprise) Build 18363.778 while it has the Store disabled by default but it can be enabled. I had already enabled access to the MS Store and it's when the MS Store updated Sonic Studio earlier this week(or last week) that I lost access to Sonic Studio with my previous drivers. That's why I tried updating my drivers with the package above to get Sonic studio working again... not sure what went wrong...I couldnt find info on error 0x00000152 anywhere. Which is when I posted my cry for help! 🙂

I was able to get back up and running with the 8666 driver package on the z390-e webpage( I thought that was a UAD driver isnt it?) with about 3 hrs of work last night. I don't have anymore time to work on these issues this week ( I teach and it's FINALS week! ) but I'll see what I can do when things calm down...

Thanks again!
Ghostnight

Hi,

For information (so that you understand the root cause of your initial issue), the new version of SS3 (3.16.8.0) requires the latest SS3 APO (contained in the latest drivers package that I offer), without it you will not have access to the latest version of SS3.

Returning to the old drivers v6.0.1.8666 that ASUS offers on your motherboard support page (these are indeed old UAD drivers, which also contain old UWP offline installation packages for SS3 and SR3), you have returned to an old version of SS3, but, as long as you have not installed the drivers package I offer, do not update SS3 via the MS Store, otherwise the problem will recur.

Regarding the error 0x00000152 you had, this is probably due to a current corrupt install & it's maybe necessary to perform a clean install and not a update (for the next package drivers that I will release you will be able to perform an update and not a clean install).

So, since you have the possibility to have/use the Microsoft Store, follow scrupulously the INSTALL process (with cleanup step).

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard.
