OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

MoKiChU, thank you for coming back. Such a pain with Windows updates and sound breaking / not functioning properly for the most part from 2017 ! Oh man... All I wanted was to use my Logitech z506 with Hero IX and have speaker fill and all. Such a hassle for me , so thanks again for doing this !

SAME its ****** rediculous

So that's what that muffled sound was yesterday. Disabled "audio enhancements" on my optical out and boom, back to normal sound.

Just know that unchecking this setting no longer allows you to use SS3&SR3 (if you used it).

First of all THANKS for all your effort. This is great stuff!

I have a problem with Realtek Audio Console when using the RTK package - it doesn't open and just shows a splash screen with spinning wheel.
I've been using the SS3 file on previous installs and it worked then, but I wanted to get rid of the Sonic Mixer device and the drivers that come with it.
Do you know how to mitigate it? I re-installed the audio console multiple times to no avail.

I fully cleaned the driverstore before install and I'm using a X470-F board.

Hi,

It does not work like that, please do not take such an initiative without knowing. You cannot change the .cmd as you wish, there is only one .cmd suitable for your motherboard, you must use only this one (Install_ROG_SS3.cmd).

- Download this patch (SSVM Remover Patch) : Link
- Extract the contents of the SSVM_Remover_Patch folder in your drivers package folder (AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_MB_v6.0.xxxx.x).
- Accept the request to overwrite files/merge folders.
- Delete the OEM_INF_Media_-_ASUS folder from your drivers package folder (which is in : AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_MB_v6.0.xxxx.x\ThirdParty\SS3).
- Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step.

Hello MoKiChU

I've got Asus maximus X Hero (ss3) board and been using old standalone process with your latest drivers. Is standalone (realtek audio control only) process still same?

My process goes like this: Remove thirdparty folder, run Install_ROG_SS3 cmd as admin and install. I had no problems for last 2 months but after seeing SSVM_Remover_Patch I'm totally confused now. Can you please explain if process changed with new cmd installations? Thank you in advance.

How can I get the base drivers installed, with none of the extras? (Nahimic, Soncic Studio, etc.) I currently have the base Windows driver, and nothing else. I always hate having all the extras.

ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi)...

Hi,

- Minimal (such as Microsoft built-in drivers) : Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process > Right click on "AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_MB_v6.0.xxxx.x\Realtek\Codec_xxxx.x\HDXASUS.inf" > Install > Wait for the message "The operation completed successfully" or for restart request.

- Realtek Only (like ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF RTK motherboards but the equalizer in Realtek Audio Control will not work) : Delete the ThirdParty folder from AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_MB_v6.0.xxxx.x folder then follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step.

- Full without Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer (don't work for ROG Z490 & B460 motherboards) : Follow scrupulously this process.

- Full : Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step.

I really don't understand the negativity towards MoKiChU, he presents us with great drivers and an enormous amount of technical information and assistance.

He does not work for Asus, he does it off his own back and in his own time. I think the mods need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture here.

His contribution to this forum and the ROG space in general far outweighs the one or two issues he has had with users. I'm sure it was just a clash of language barriers and no malice or intent to harm any user is ever present.

Everyone should put aside their ego's and help us end users to continue using Asus products.

MoKiChU is an asset to this forum and his work is greatly appreciated by many.
