OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hi! Which of the drivers should I install for my Asus TUF Gaming B660M-PLUS D4? I'm on the latest driver from Asus' download page, version 6.0.9411.1, but I'd like to update because in Windows 11 (22H2) control panel's 5.1 audio output options are missing - there are only stereo options. Is this possibly a driver related issue? I have a home theater amplifier connected to the motherboard via Toslink.

Hi,

You have an ASUS TUF DTS Audio Processing motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS AP) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Note : There is no drivers related issue, your motherboard built-in audio controller/licence can only :

- SPDIF port : Output only Stereo PCM, so no 5.1/7.1 PCM (uncompressed) or 5.1/7.1 DTS/Dolby (compressed).
- 3.5mm jack port : Output only Stereo PCM or 5.1/7.1 PCM (uncompressed), so no 5.1/7.1 DTS/Dolby (compressed).

However your audio equipment should be able to do the upmix processing on its side (Stereo PCM to 5.1/7.1). Also, if your audio equipment is DTS:X or Dolby Atmos compatible, I would advise you not to use the built-in motherboard audio controller for your audio equipment, and go through the HDMI port of your iGPU or your GPU with DTS Sound Unbound or Dolby Access.

@MoKiChU Thanks for your response, it helped immensely! You're the man! I see what is possible and buy a dedicated sound card if I have to, since the amplifier is pretty old.

I still have a question: After pondering a while how to get 5.1 sound out, I wonder if I can do this using cable going from the Realtek on-board audio to the amplifier's coaxial input, likely connecting the other end to the line-out of the integrated audio, since it doesn't have RCA coaxial output. Is it safe to buy such a cable and expect 5.1 sound to work in movies?

i have a rog strix z390-f gaming, which drivers do i need?

HI, ty for the reply i did the cleanup and install process correctly. after the automatic restart user account control asked for the a-volute install and i hit yes i think drivers are working perfectly fine but i dont see realtek driver in apps & features like i used to this is normal right?

Correct, as I stated here Realtek installer is no more used to install the drivers : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?117596-DRIVERS-Realtek-Audio-(Intel-2xx-3xx-4xx-5xx-6xx-7x....

The drivers packages contains an Drivers folder with Drivers Only (like most of the drivers packages I offer), an Apps folder with direct shortcuts to your apps in your Microsoft Store app, and an install/update script (Install.cmd) using Microsoft PnPUtil (Windows built-in) to install/update your drivers.
