OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

My answer was intended to clear up any doubts about which audio drivers package to use with your motherboard.

In order to satisfy your curiosity about why this naming change, here is a more complete answer :

Historically I only offered the audio drivers packages for motherboards (since everything that I offered was AIMed for motherboards) which did not contain MB at the end of their naming, the MB ending was put in place when I offered the audio drivers packages for notebooks/laptops (NB) in order to distinguish them. Since I no longer offer audio drivers packages for notebooks/laptops (in order to focus on my original field : DIY/Motherboards), the naming of the audio drivers packages for motherboards has returned to the original (without MB at the end of their naming).

this's what I was looking /asking for, thanks.

Hello i have a z690 Formula

If i unerstand right this thread is made to update our integrated sound card.

This is the bacis instalation with the mininum required application ???

- Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS

This one is the same as before but with dts stuff in it in case that we use DTS ??

ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards

This one is for the unbound motherboards ?? But what is the unbound thing ???

So my question is quite simple i just use a headset to listen some game and music , what is the best batch to install for me ?

Hi,

You are in the wrong thread.

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of the thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 5xx/6xx/TRX40).

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Oh that s why maybe i got now this error when i try to install and launch Realtek audio control : impossible to connect to rpc services........??

Is it normal also that i can t find no more the driver uninstaller that i found the first time in Windows start setup application ???

Is it normal also that in the device manager that window keep reinstalling me always the same driver ??? i unistall it manualy but on retart it s here again ...

So i installed the correct version , but when i apply the install exe it beging to open a black windows and install stuff , but i stay stuck on " inf file dtsapo4ultraAsusextensionpkg.inf" and the computer doesn t restart . I have to close the ms dos windows manualy and then restart my pc manualy ...is it normal ?? as what you written on the first page of this thread it s seems to be not normal at all. lol
I think i will stick with the driver from asus coz it seems to now work with me at all...

Absolutely.

Yes it's normal (these are drivers only packages, like most of the drivers I offer), if you want to uninstall follow your CLEANUP process.

Here is your mistake : "I have to close the ms dos windows manualy"

Just be patient, DTS APO4x Extension Driver folder contains more than 7130 files in more than 250 subfolders.

i was patient it doesn t closed.

But the file seems to be installed...

i will try to reinstall it and let it run at leat 1 hour and writte you back here for the result.

Best Regards

Ok As you said i waited and all was done successfully

Now i will check on chipset.

Tx you a lot for your help u awesome
