OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (MB | Intel 5xx/6xx & AMD 5xx/TRX40).

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hi there, just found yesterday this thread since I had some issues with Forza Horizon 5 crashes to desktop, and allegedly the culprit for Win11 was A-Volute driver.
Thanks so much for making this awesome pack, but wanted to check for my specs Z390 Maximus XI Hero-Wi-Fi,on Win11 Pro, if I can get the DTS X codec to work. I have first used the Cleanup software tool provided to delete old drivers (.inf) and used the cmd intall.
Can anyone tell me why I can't get DTS X to work? Also I had to install manually all the Sonic, Realtek Console and DTS X from the links provided, not sure if this should matter, since the auto install after restart didn't happen.

@ ASUS ROG SS3 & ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards users : SS3 apps can crash your apps/games (Like Forza Horizon 5 for example), if that is the case, uninstall SS3 apps and use an alternative 3D/Spatial audio solution :

DTS Headphone:X from DTS Sound Unbound (Recommended) : Link

ASUS ROG SS3 motherboards : Trial then paying
ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards : You already have a built-in license

Dolby Atmos for Headphones from Dolby Access : Link

Hi Guys,

I guess I'm really confused about which drivers I'm supposed to use for my "ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero Wifi" with an Intel I9-11900K.

In the Device Manager, I am showing that the audio driver is a Realtek USB2.0 Audio...according to Microsoft Drivers. These are working ok, No popping at start up, when using Windows 10 Pro (20H1, 20H2, 21H1 or 21H2)

But as soon as I install these ASUS ROG SS3, of any version, the speakers immediately start to pop, twice then pause then one more pop.

I have tried every 6.3.69xx version, and it does this. One of the thing I noticed is when you install one of these drivers, the device manager show that it becomes a "Realtek USB Audio" 6.3.96xx.xx. and not a "Realtek USB2.0 Audio"

I can revert back to the Microsoft Version, and all is good again. Am I using the right drivers for the ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero WIFI??

I have done clean installs of Windows 10 Pro each time and same results. Is there a Realtec USB2.0 Audio version...??
