OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements (AMD) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).
Hardware requirements (Intel) : ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME motherboards with Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx series chipsets (except ROG with ALC40xx).

Note : In order to know which drivers package to use, match the audio specifications of your motherboard with the apps or ask me.

TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you experience crackling, popping, audio stutter
Disable hibernation (Fast Startup included).

Hello, my SSIII and SR3 launch this message: Current system is not compatible or audio driver is not installed properly.
I have my mobo (asus ROG STRIX z490-e) not long ago. I've used armoury crate to install and update drivers, but version numbers don't fit with the ones provided in Asus support web.
How do I proceed to update my sound drivers? I don't know wich one should I download from the first post.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

I have problems that every time i reconnect 3.5mm headphone, sound is a bit different. Sometimes is distorted badly so i need to reconnect headphone to fix it. Is it hardware problem or it could be sonic studio 3 or other software making problems? I heard from various forums that sonic studio is problematic.

Hi,

When you plug (unplug then plug if already plugged) the jack 3.5 mm of a headphone, the automatic impedance detection will automatically choose the appropriate level of amplification for you (depending on the impedance of the headphone). However, if you use an jack extension cable, this detection will not be done if you unplug then plug your headphone at the female jack extension cable level. For the automatic impedance detection to take place, the disconnection & reconnection must be done at the jack motherboard level.

I always do that, but impedance detection sometimes detect 90 ohms, sometimes 30 so sound is little different, what could be problem?

This is something I was wondering about and tried manually in SS3's files, but failed.

I tried to rep you MoKiChU, but it seems I need to spread the love a bit more, but thanks for posting the ss3 cleanup tool, and I've added it to my Excel downloads sheet, I just need to update my Sway with the above instruction and linking to the cleanup tool.

Hi,

You're welcome 😉

A note for others using it, if you just run it strait, it nukes your current in use Realtek install too ...

This is not the way the tool should be used, as I said previously, the use of the tool must be preceded by a CLEANUP process (which anyway will cleanup all your Realtek Audio & Third Party Drivers).

I edited my post while you were responding to mine MoKiChU. Sorry about that. So apparently I installed the incorrect version for my MB last time since my file is listed as the AsusTuff/DTS version. I guess I've got to wipe that one with the cleaner tool. Thanks for that info. But why did it work so long, many months I estimate, without an issue? Was it because SS3 updated itself recently?
