I can’t seem to find a clear answer on this anywhere-
On the Maximus Z690 Extreme, do two PCI-E 4.0 x4 slots on the ROG DIMM slots share bandwidth? As in, could you theoretically saturate both (if the CPU allowed it) and get the equivalent of PCI-E 4 8x or would the combined speed cap out at PCI-E 4 4x?
I thought the Z690 supported 3 PCIE 4.0 x4 slots, which I assumed was m2_3 + the two ROG DIMM slots. But I’ve also heard the DIMM slots share bandwidth. Perhaps that was older chipsets though?
