DDR5 VENGEANCE 4X16GB COD 55

ASUS Z790 Motherboard - I9 13900 K
DDR5 4X16 GB VENGEANCE
ASUS THOR 1000
ASUS ROG RYUJIN 360 COOLER

The memories only work in slots A2 and B2 in pairs, putting the four sticks in the system crashes with code 55.

It doesn't even enter the BIOS setup
BIOS updated to version 2102.

What to do?

Hi @pamcarvalho

Can you confirm the memory kit part number? Please be advised that combining memory kits is neither supported or recommended by the motherboard and memory vendors.

Hi @Silent_Scone

I made a mistake in the previous post. The paired memories only work on stick B1 and B2. Channel A1 and A2 are not working, which seems to me to be a problem with the processor. The four sticks worked fine and were overclocked using XMP I. The only hardware change I made was replacing the Corsair H170i cooler with the ASUS ROG RYUJIN 360 COOLER.

Let's get to what you asked for: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL40 Intel XMP Black (CMH32GX5M2B6000C40). Two 32 Gb kits (2x16Gb) from the same manufacturer and coincidentally from the same manufacturing origin (Vietnam), same manufacturing batch and very similar serial numbers.

I hope this helps.

You need to use one kit. The kits are binned in the *density* in which they are sold. It doesn't matter if they're matching part numbers. As soon as you add additional density and modules, you're invalidating the voltage, timings and frequency that the memory vendor has conditioned the modules to run at.

The fact the cooler is the only change is of no consequence. The overclock with all four modules populated was likely conditional to begin with.

Aguardando

Please use English, as per the rules.

Your problem isn't the support you're receiving, it's because you're combining two memory kits - which no memory or motherboard vendor supports or recommends.

Please see the article here for more information.
