Core I7 14700K - What is the stock/default voltage ?

Hello,

I have an CoreI7 14700K with 4 DIMM slot (128 Go RAM DDR5) @ 4200Mhz.

With all settings to Auto, my ASUS Z790-A PRIME motherboard set :

VccSA (system agent) : 1.25-1.28 V

Memory Controller : 1.25 V

This value are safe for a 24/7 home server ?

I would like to know what is the max official value for this 2 settings ?

Where i can find intel documentation about this specification ? I would like the official value.

Thanks

Hi @Benoit31

At Optimised Defaults, the board will handle all of those rails without an issue.

You can find most of this info in the datasheets.

Hello,

So, this VccSA is safe ?

I dont found any reference to VccSA in this datasheet.

That voltage is safe, yes. The stock operating voltage for VCCSA is around 0.9v, however, the board will scale depending on the memory configuration. The aforementioned degredation issue is not associated with this rail, nor should you encouter future problems assuming the motherboard BIOS is up to date.

Yes my bios is up to date. Ok thanks you for your answers.

Hello Benoit31

Yes, those voltages are perfectly fine.

VCCSA (CPU System Agent voltage) can go as high as 1.35v - 1.40v, some cpu's show signs of instability if this is set too high.

Memory Controller voltage can go as high as 1.45v, I currently have mine set to 1.40v.

Ok thanks you, i would have preferred to have the official intel value but it's impossible to know from their document. With the degradation problems, I don't want to take any risk.

Hello,

Thanks for your answer but now can you explain to me this strange thing please :

My setup :

Core i7 14700k/asus z790 a prime

128Go DDR5 (4*32Go)

RAM settings :

Frequency : 5200 mhz / CAS : 40-40-40-80

VccSA : 1.1 V / memory controler : 1.25 V / VDD : 1.1 V (auto) / VDDQ : 1.1 V (auto)

It seeam stable, y-cruncher  3 VT3 passes (need more long test)

But when i set VDD and VDDQ to 1.25 V windows crash at boot and bios lag. Why this settings do that whereas it should help RAM stick to works ? Don't understand...

I spent much time to understand. I have left to auto all settings to begin, set manually settings after one per one to find it.
