Can we PLEASE!!! get a new BIOS Version? 4301 is unstable as Heaven ( 12900k )

I'm already sick and tired about the whole 13th/14th gen Fiasko, but as someone with a 12900k on a Z690 Maximus Extreme I feel like the 12th Gen got worst or more forgotten just because it also feels that every Patch/Fix that is specific for 13/14th Gen also shaves my 12900k

I have this CPU/Board Combo now 3 Years, and it feels like BIOS Updates already messed enough instead of leaving everything like it was.

My CPU is running, hell I even would like to run the very first BIOS Version instead of this new Versions.

I could make a list of bugs that I found, but I'm still shaking my Head how bad the Intel Default's Profile really is.

Instead of leaving the 12900k behave the same like before the whole 13/14th Gen Fiasko, it get's all the same compromisses//patches/changes like every 13th/14th Gen CPU.

For Example: I had to switch back to Asus Stock Profile to have my regular Voltages back. And no!! I'm not fumbling myself with voltages/undervolts/etc.. I just would like that my CPU behaves the same like on the BIOS Version before 13th/14th Gen. I'm somehow even mad that 13th/14th Gen CPU's can also be used on Z690, becaus if not than we 12tth Gen User wouldn't be in the same Fix//Patch-Boat than 13th/14th Gen.

Maybe I'm a little bit angry right now, but the last two days I just testing here and there and ONLY leaving the BIOS with all default setting like bevore the Patch helps to give me my Performance back.

Asus BIOS Profile runs much cooler in Idle, on a 12th Gen CPU they even didn't conclute any extreme Profile, just Intels Default Performance Profile, which already is gimbed and takes too much Voltage. ( on idle/low work it already feels like I have overclocked the CPU to 7,0Ghz.

Asus regular old Profile gives me everything back like I'M used to it with definetive better idle/low use Voltage and don't even start to talk with meh about Synthetic Benchmarks.

I maybe stressing my CPU one time in a Month with Cinebench to just check the Values, I don't run Benchmarks a whole day. I installed Prime95 after 3 Years, I just tested it in the past when my PC was new and it ran normally. NOW: instand Crashes/Freezes, as soon as I hit any Bench Test, Prime95 instanly crashes or frezzes my Computer.

You can talk about Degredation on a 12900k too, but I never played very long, I never stressed the system for a long time by myself, I just do Office Work or sometime a low demanded Card Game and watching Movies.

Also Cinebenmch in the Past if my CPU got arround 100c it downclocked...

...now with the new Version I can't see any downclock, Cinebench is immediatly also freezing in the last Quarter of the first run.

It's really weird how to decribe it further, but all Parts still work flawlessly, I hate the Intel Default Profile and can't recommend it to anyone, as a 12th Gen User there was more damage control around the 13th/14th Gen that I really feel that this whole Fiasko made everyathing even unstabler.

Proove me right or wrong, I just wanted to share my experience, because it are really only the BIOS Updates that make me angry each Time.

Also an example which made me mad end of last Year till BIOS 4101:

The unremovable C1E States on the End of last Years BIOS Version and two BIOS Versions later/3 Months or so having a BIOS Version to finally disable C1E States made me even more Angry about the BIOS Update Decisions.

I love the Mainboard so much, I love the CPU, but if I would have the chance to go back to the very first BIOS Version, I would do it immediatly! Unfortunately just by reading...it's not possible anymore.

How do you feel as a 12900k User?

My personal OC ( PCore: 5,2, ECore: 4,1 Ring: 4,3 ) is still working, didn't change anything, but like mentioned...somehow this Version doesn't like Synthetic Benchmarks. It doesn't hate it, but it feels unstabler as previous BIOS Versions (AGAIN!!)

It's strange, as I've had hardly any problems with the 12900K and the Z690 Hero. BIOS 4301 is working fine for me, but I am aware that people have different experiences for reasons I've never understood. I've only had one blue screen in 3.5 years, so stability has been almost flawless. Other faults have happened, but rarely and my PC is normally on for 15 hours a day.

You should be able to go back as far as BIOS 2305 if you want but I'm just wondering, have you been updating the ME firmware and Windows MEI drivers? (see my signature for versions). You could also have RAM instability. Have you ran RAM stability tests to check?

What about other drivers - do you keep everything up to date? MoKiChU supplies all of the latest drivers in the 'downloads for motherboards' section on this forum.

As above, check DRAM stability first. New ME firmware and ucode can also introduce these problems if the overclock is conditional enough, which is why you should always do some preliminary stress testing when updating (if you're overclocking).

4301 has made my PC usless (z690 HERO, 13900k, 2x32GB G.Skill 5600 CL30).  Will boot and stay on desktop but any load at all on the system causes a freeze, eventually black screen, and reboot.  Reverting to previous versions has no effect.  BIOS at default, CMOS cleared, no XMP or anything other than stock settings.  Everything worked 100% on 2802 before the update.  Was my work PC too....
