Can We Expect 0x12F Patch?

I'm running the ROG STRIX Z790-H GAMING WIFI with an i9-14900K. News came out that another patch to address instability issues on this gen and the 13th gen. Granted, I do not leave my PC on for days or weeks, and I haven't had any issues since I built my PC with this hardware. Regardless, when is the ETA for this patch on this MB?

Asus please do show some love to Z790 owners, no one buys Arrow Lakes anyway.

The z890 is getting BIOS updated every two weeks now.

I came here to find out about my ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO for the new microcode BIOS update.

I don't note at this point that it is a given that all Z690 and Z790 boards will get such an update via a new BIOS.

Let's see how things work out over the next few weeks with Asus and this hoped update. At least the previous microcode one mitigated some of the issues noted.

But this socket 1700, over both AL and RL, has certainly been interesting, not always for the best of  reasons..!

Currently, there is no UEFI update with 0x12F available for any Asus 7690 or Z790 motherboard. Apparently, Asus is placing more emphasis on Z890 motherboards.
But it's always been the case that older motherboards have to wait longer.
But that's all we have left.

After speaking briefly earlier, can confirm these are currently in the works. Not able to provide a timeline at this time

It's out now for the z790-e.

I'm not keen to be a test dummy though so I will let some others test first.

I'm happy to stay on 0x12b for now as i believe based on Intel's statement that 0x12f is an improvement of 0x12b and not a further mitigation.

Intel's message isn't exactly clear especially since the root cause has not changed. I think most users should already be safe with 0x12b

Unfortunately I don't see new updates for z790-P Wifi

Apex encore z790 same. Thought that these MB are first be updated as beta bios for testing.

EOL platforms generally don't receive beta BIOSes. The rollout will depend on the validation process. There's no favouritism involved 😊
