Help! I've been trying to use Rufus to upgrade from Win 10 Pro to Win 11 Pro using Rufus. The only reason I'm using Rufus is because I want to create a local account and bypass OOBE. But Microsoft has pretty much closed all the former workarounds with the release of 25H2. The only way left so far is using Rufus, which I'm sure they'll break in the near future. The problem is, Rufus wants to format the drive in NTFS, no exceptions, no other choices. But according to ASUS, any bootable drive must be in FAT 32, even though the BIOS is UEFI. I gather the ISO file is too large to use FAT32, so Rufus doesn't offer the selection, so my MB doesn't see the drive in the boot menu, either in the BIOS, the F8 boot menu or with secure boot OFF. So am I stuck with updating via the Media Creation Tool from MS and a Microsoft Account for my gaming rig? I already know that method works currently, but I'd really, REALLY like a LOCAL ACCOUNT.
The other problem is that Windows can't find drivers for my front panel USB ports and SD card reader. The system was built by Origin, but they don't have drivers, so they're pretty much dead. Don't ever purchase a system from them either.
