Bug in latest Bios for Z790 Pro Tuf gaming(intel defualt settings) (BIOS 1661)

Hey,Asus

I think I found a bug about ur intel default settings on my mobo "z790 pro tuf gaming Wi-Fi"(BIOS 1661). I have 13700k and when I choose the intel defualt profile, SVID behavior changed to "Intel s fail safe" and I think it must be on "auto" becuase I have seen Jayztwocents video about 14900k and in their latest bios of their rog-z790 "Svid behavior" is on "auto".

Here is the video (13:34): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3EW5lRIZYc&t=838s

looking for ur response.
best.

It is VERY important to do this with your Intel system NOW to mitigate the risk of degrading your CPU while we wait for microcode updates. Sponsored Links Falcon Northwest has been building high end systems for gamers since 1992! Learn more about what Falcon Northwest has to offer at ...

Looks like they activated just to be on the Safe side of things since their CPUs are buzzed & rotten with issues. Any CPU that does not work with that setting on Auto (without the Fail Safe ON) is basically a bad CPU, so having it On basically masks any bad CPUs out there for their benefit. Makes sense...for intel.

Hello dude, thanks for answering but my friends in rog z790 mobos and another my friend in b760 tuf plus Svid behavior set in Auto mode by "Defualt" in intel defualt profile.I hope you understand what I mean. I think this is a mistake on the Asus side

Hi,

There's no bug. Intel Fail Safe follows ACLL for Intel specifications more closely. Other behavioural settings for loadline you're more accustomed to results in undervolting the CPU.

hey silent scone

I think you did not understand what I meant.

See my reply to our other friend in this thread.

I mean, in other mobos this option is set to "auto". But it is not like this on my mobo and I think it is probably the same on tuf z790 plus .

when we switch from ASUS profile(Svid=auto) to Intel profile, this option should not change from"auto" to "intel's fail safe", but on my motherboard, it is set to "Intel s fail" .

....thats the smallest of small bugs ive ever seen reported. even if it was on auto the bios would still automatically put intel fail safe when your on intel default specs..... its literally the same thing. you can literally switch it to auto and nothing would change.
