BIOS 4101 & 4001 Cannot apply XMP memory timings

Since updating the BIOS, I am unable to apply the correct memory settings for my Corsair memory. This is enabling the timings on the EZMode screen OR selecting "XMP I" in Advanced Settings under AI Tweaker mode. This is the memory, and it WAS working just fine before the update to 4001.

Each time I have factory reset the bios using F5 and only changes these settings. The system will not post and comes up eventually saying it had to revert. I spent a good part of yesterday trying to diagnose this. Suffice to say I have done the following.

- Clear CMOS - Using Button when powered off.
- F5 factory reset (repeatedly)
- Enabled XMP in Ezmode (no other changes) - FAIL to POST
- Enabled XMP I in Advanced mode (no other changes) - FAIL to POST
- BIOS update to 4101

For some reason the system is running very strange default timings for this memory which may be a clue as to why it's not working. Appreciate any help you can give me because I have nowhere else to go.

Resolved. Read another post and moved them to slots A2/B2 and now timings are working.
