BIOS 2703 Feedback

What experiences do people have with the new BIOS release? I haven't tried it yet myself. The support page says that ME firmware will be updated to 16.1.27.2176.

I'm already on a later version (16.1.30.2255) with BIOS 2602. Does anybody know if this could cause a problem? Just makes me a little nervous in terms of what could happen. I'm assuming that if on a later version then the ME update will not happen, but would like to know if anybody else has updated to 2703 with a more recent ME version.

Also, does anybody know if it's possible to go back from this latest version if any problems? Thanks.

I did transfer the CPU to a second Asus z690 Apex originally keeping my 4090 GPU and Corsair Dominator 5200. Then replaced in order GPU to RTX 3090, Corsair to Trident Z5 memory and finally the CPU. The only thing I didn't do was update to the most recent BIOS. However, since the problem remained on the replaced motherboard, I'm convinced the CPU is the culprit.

I downloaded this BIOS version just tonight and then iCue stopped working. I tried to uninstall it but the program wasn't listed so I had to go into safe mode to force-delete all the icue files and reinstalled it again. PC works fine now but don't know why I had to jump through hoops just to fix a supposedly minor problem.

Ever since upgrading to this BIOS version I have 5-6 BSODs daily caused by RAM issues. The RAM is on the QVL list and before it was running pretty well...

Interesting that you say that.  I was previously using some G.Skill Trident Z5 32GB (2x 16GB) DDR5 6000 MHz CL40 SDRAM (uses Samsung chips) and had the same issues after updating the BIOS to the latest version, instability issues.  Back when I bought the memory, I paid a hefty price for it because of the shortages at the time, but I noticed that Amazon had a pack of CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MHz (CMK32GX5M2B6400C32), which is also listed on the QVL list but uses Hynix chips, for a little over $100 USD.  Installed these and haven't had a single issue with instability since, issue resolved.  So I'm not sure of your financial situation, but if you're able to, I would highly encourage you to give that a try and see if it resolves your issues.  It was certainly worth it to me with getting rid of the headache of instability and trying everything to no avail.

If you are using XMP Tweaked then don't. I was never able to OC my RAM but at least it was stable on the previous BIOS. With this BIOS I was getting regular BSODs. Once I selected normal XMP settings not only is the RAM is stable but I could overclock my RAM.
