What experiences do people have with the new BIOS release? I haven't tried it yet myself. The support page says that ME firmware will be updated to 16.1.27.2176.
I'm already on a later version (16.1.30.2255) with BIOS 2602. Does anybody know if this could cause a problem? Just makes me a little nervous in terms of what could happen. I'm assuming that if on a later version then the ME update will not happen, but would like to know if anybody else has updated to 2703 with a more recent ME version.
Also, does anybody know if it's possible to go back from this latest version if any problems? Thanks.

That's interesting because I used an NTFS drive to select and install the BIOS without any issues. Maybe your NTFS drive has errors? You can check that in Windows with chkdsk [DriveLetter]: /F /R /B (e.g. chkdsk C: /F /R /B). If it's your system drive you'll have to reboot, but I would recommend booting into recovery mode and running the scan that way instead of doing the reboot scan (my personal preference).

So last coupe days the bios update has worked fine, but for some reason today my e-cores now seem to be stuck at 2400mhz and nothing I do makes them clock higher.... anyone else having this issue?

What Windows Power Plan? Did you try a CMOS reset / remove AC/Power?

I had AI Overclocking working with an undervolt. Now AI Overclock crashes with or without undervolt. But AI Overclocking is unreliable anyway coz I had similar issues with previous bios versions. Rolling back didnt help. This bios might be too conservative wth voltages.

Can you elaborate? You say it was working but then also it wasn't working?
Are you simply reloading a saved profile onto the new UEFI with AI OC enabled? You may need to establish a baseline again as per the AI OC instructions.

Hi. Sorry for the delay but I've been essentially rebuilding my PC from scratch after I started getting blue screens again.
I have Rog Strix Z690-G motherboard running a 13700k. I always had problems with AI OC but recently it started to work well. It was setup with "XMP Tweaked" and "Remove Limits" and a minor underclock. Cinebench was rock solid returning good scores.
Then I upgraded the bios to 2703 and it went back to how it was before. Now if iI run XMP Tweaked I get a blue-screen. If I run with Limits Removed then Cinebench doesn't run or runs then crashes. No other changes have been made to BIOS. One thing I noted is that when it was working, the AI OC was 67%. When it wasn't working it says 76% or just says AI Overclocking Activated but so far it never gives me a score after multiple reboots..
Update: More blue-screens but the information gathering never completes. It just hangs. Code: STOP_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT.

You don't say what BIOS worked, but you should be able to go back as far as 2305 and hopefully be good again...

Bios 2602 was what worked previously. I tried that last time and it made no difference. But I suppose now that I have rebuilt the machine I cna try again.

I have a new system which was on the prev bios (2602) for a couple of weeks. Now on 2703 no problems so far:
Win 11 Pro, i7 13700K, 32gb 6000hz xm1, Max z690 Hero, air cooled cpu, 4080, -0.10v Cinebench 30372 @26C ambient /max cpu pack 93C / max pwr 226w (stock was 29949 100C / 250w)
Not related but since I recorded the info just for the heck of it here are some Cinebench numbers for my previous cpu 13600K (I didn't record wattage unfortunately)
stock: 22986 93C and the largest stable undervolt I could get was -0.80 for 23408 91C
I only updated and broke the "if it ain't broke don't fix it rule" because I recently built the system and just swapped the cpu and noticed a bios update had been released so I snagged that and the usb audio

Just upgraded my rog maximus z690 hero to 2703 bios.
Now i cannot enter bios because it stopped detectong my usb keyboard, tried to connect it to various usb ports, both in hub or directly on the mobo and nothing worked. So i have the brand new bios but i cannot enter and set values.
Funny ... it isn't.
