What experiences do people have with the new BIOS release? I haven't tried it yet myself. The support page says that ME firmware will be updated to 16.1.27.2176.
I'm already on a later version (16.1.30.2255) with BIOS 2602. Does anybody know if this could cause a problem? Just makes me a little nervous in terms of what could happen. I'm assuming that if on a later version then the ME update will not happen, but would like to know if anybody else has updated to 2703 with a more recent ME version.
Also, does anybody know if it's possible to go back from this latest version if any problems? Thanks.

Good to know, thanks.

So I just upgraded and even with a more recent ME version, no problems. The latest version stayed in place. The BIOS also seems fine so far. I can't see any differences from 2602 in terms of temps.

Hey @JohnAb, have you noticed any performance issues since the BIOS update? Usually when the words Mitigation, Security, and Vulnerabilities are in the same sentence, that often means an impact to performance. Hopefully not in this case.

Hi Ryan, I've not run any benchmarks, but no, everything seems exactly the same after a couple of hours. Boot times and general performance, CPU power consumption, PCH temps, RAM temps - it all seems OK. Hold on, let me run Cinebench R23 and see - so I get 26,500. That's higher than the 26,000 I got last time I ran it a few weeks ago. So maybe not enough runs to be sure, but certainly not worse.
Yeah, think I can say it's all good - for me at least...

I updated to 2703 tonight and after loading my previous settings (0.04v undervolt, 6000mhz) I had instability in windows, GPU errors, black boxes appearing on screen, eventviewer errors, etc. - Rolled back to 2602 and loaded the same settings (saved to a CMO file on thumb drive) and everything was fine again. May be anecdotal but for me this update seemed to introduce some issues.

I'm curious about this new bios. Seems that, despite one or two unfavourable results, this is a pretty solid one.
I have a Z690 TUF Gaming Plus Wifi D4. I'm still on 1304, because over the last year the bios updates seem to have have been so troublesome, especially with the frequent 'no rollback' problem! But lately I've been getting a few bsods which pointed to memory problems. I have 128GB 3600Mhz Corsair RAM (bought as a single set and on the QVL ) and I know that 4 sticks has occasionally caused people problems on these boards, but I built the machine over a year ago and there were no memory problems until a month or so ago so I hope this is more a software/firmware/bios issue.
So yeah, might 2703 be worth a try? Might I notice a big change from 1304 in terms of power/heat etc? What about startup times? (Currently, Task Manager reports my bios time to be 8.2 seconds.) Mainly I'm keen to see if it might reduce the occasional bsods I seem to be getting just now.
Thanks
