Bios 1666 Beta also incl. Intel ME? (B760-F)

Hello,

I've got a question about the newest bios for my ROG B760-F. In the describtion on the asus page, infos about the Intel ME incl. are missing.

Next days I'll upgrade my cpu on that board. Have I go to switch back to 1663 to get the Intel ME update for the cpu or is that Intel ME update also incl. in the beta bios 1666?

The information of "Updating this BIOS will simultaneously update the corresponding Intel ME to version 16.1.30.2307v4" (at 1663 final) is missing at 1666 beta info.

P.S. It switch the cpu, is load bios defaults enough or have I to re-flash the current bios to make the new cpu stable too?

If you are going to upgrade the CPU and the existing BIOS supports it, then I think I would stick with 1663 for now. 

I'd be very surprised if the 1666 beta didn't include Intel ME, but I wouldn't want to use a beta BIOS and change the CPU at the same time. You can always update the BIOS later once everything is working, so no rush. If you have any problems after changing the CPU, then at least you can always put the old CPU back in with the knowledge that you have a working BIOS version for it.

So what I'm suggesting is change the CPU first, see if it works and think about the BIOS later, ideally when the next full (non beta) version is available. Whatever you decide, you can always check what ME version is currently installed on the main page of the BIOS screen.

Just to say, after the CPU change, it might be an idea to reinstall Windows again. Just see how you get on and if it doesn't seem 100% then that should help...
