Custom PC - Intel Z790-H m/board, 14700K CPU, 4070 Super GPU..
"If it ain't broke don't try and fix it!"..
This is what I am thinking about the possibility of applying these updates - everything is working fine at present. I am inclined to just stick to the regular Windows Updates when they are available.
If anyone can tel me the benefit of applying these what are essentially optional updates, then I will listen. I read somewhere to ignore the CCleaner updates when they are offered. I used to have IObit Driver Booster on an old laptop - and updating drivers via that blew up my machine.

2406.5.5.0 are Intel's Windows Management Engine Interface (MEI) drivers. I have them installed and no issues.
If you are concerned about breaking something, which I understand, why not image your OS using something like Macrium Reflect onto another drive. Then you can install all drivers, updates etc and if something breaks you can simply restore back to where you were. That's what I do - taking a scheduled backup every 3 days. Then you never need to worry.
I'd advise against getting any drivers through CCleaner - use MoKiChU's drivers here:

Thank you for your reply. I will go ahead and install the Intel driver via Windows Optional Updates, but won't use CCleaner drivers.
