Hey!
I was running a i5 13600KF on a B760-I in a form factor case (NR200P Max). Obviously form factors don't cool so good, and these generation of CPU's get real hot, the solution last year was to apply a minor undervolt. This solved all my temperature issues and was actually more performant since it wasn't thermal throttling.
Now i was gifted a 14700kf last week (cool right) and i thought lets get all latest updates and install it, which i did.. Bios 1805 + microcode updates. I reset bios to Intel defaults(F5) and all good! except.. wow look at that 100 degrees under load, lets reconfigure the under volt i had.... But wait where have the adaptive offset options gone?
I modified two options in the previous bios/microcode
In the latest version these only have 'manual' and 'auto'. The offset / adaptive option is no longer available, after some research i believe this is due to something called 'undervolt protection'. Where is the option for enabling or disabling this feature on a B760 with 1805?

@browngasm I saw an Youtube video of user "machines & more" with same board I think (B760-I). Ain't sure if it still possible with 1805. Here is the old link -> https://youtu.be/yhmg5mkDuzg?feature=shared

Thankyou very much for your response, in the video he downgrades the microcode to 0x104. This i would like to avoid at all costs, otherwise there was no point in my updating the bios/microcode. I feel like there must be another method using the latest microcode and 1805?

@browngasm you're right. Yeah, you are right. Maybe you try to get in touch with guy of vid. - pm over youtube? Hopefully he's got another idea. I 'm total noob with that...

Have you tried to use the F9 key to search for Undervolt? Sometimes it is easier to just search instead of hunting down the exact menu where some configuration is defined or located.

hey bros, there's been a terrible management of intel for months, I realized after a lot of tests that my processor is solid, but when I'm browsing the browser, I see a voltage of 1.53, is that normal? i'm using an ASUS B Series MOBO and I need to switch to the 0x104 microcode to do the undervolt look I'm not changing the bios version I'm just switching to that version from the interface my bios has received all the updates but I'm still seeing unnecessary heats is it okay for me to use the 0x104 microcode I mentioned. thanks

Hi ,
I also hadthe same issue but with i5 13600k. I was more concerned about the idle volt utilization by processor of 1.35-1.4 vt and maximum upto 1.5 volt when there is absolutely nothing running on the system . This inevitably kept the idle temps between 45-55 degrees . I found the below thread , and as mentioned . the AC Load Line value was set to auto in Bios and when checked in Hwinfo , it showed the current utilisation is 1.700/1.700 mOhm. Apparently this is too high and this has been driving insane volt to the processor and the temps . As per my understanding this can be fixed in 2 ways , either select ACL profile under processor management (or) set the ACL value to equal or below 1.1 mOhm which is what Intel advises . For some reason Asus bios cranks this value to way too high ..hopefully this gets fixed in the future bios . I have set the value to 0.8 and the system is stable with idle volt around 1.1 to 1.3 volt max .

Hopefully someone from Asus should look into this and correct it in future bios updates as my idle temps where easily 10 degrees more after updating the new bios . I also have another issue where the pcores of 13600k is always at 5.1ghz even when nothing is happening after this new bios update. Fortunately this is not affecting the temps , but not sure why after the update this is the case , my info comes for hwinfo and hwmonitor , both reports the same. Looks like the latest bios introduces more problems that solution 😞
