A new BIOS has just been released for the Z790 based MB's. Release notes are:
1. Improve system stability and compatibility for the next-gen processors
2. Fix the compatibility and instability issues when configuring RAID for high-capacity storage
3. Do update the intel ME to version 16.1.27.2176

I updated to 1303 on my HERO 790 and have no problems. What is lousy, though, is that I must redo all my XMP memory parameters... why can't those service a BIOS update?

It is highly recommended to reset all your bios settings to default before installing a bios update. I doubt they will put any work into circumventing that.

Couldn't agree more. I had a Bios update go wrong because I loaded the previous Bios' saved settings on my Z690 Hero. Scared the crap out me as I thought I bricked the Motherboard at first, but after clearing cmos and and reloading my settings manually it was fine, but I can still remember that sinking feeling in my gut when it happened.

these newer Bios's have the ME built with the bois update now, Right? that is the only attraction to me to update to 1303. Also is the EZ update feature still in AI Suite also?

Unbelievable, turns out is the power strip. After the xmp problably broke inside and after 20 min it would power enough the PC. i want to cry really. I litterly changed everything on the comptuter and it was the simplest thing. Thank you.

Extended power cables some times fails to work at 100%. time ago, I have a power failure on my home, after that, the USB 3.2 Gen1 ports refused to work (4 on back, and all 4 frontal) on my Z790 hero. At first I thought that the Mainboard just fried the USB chip, I also thought that my PSU (Seasonic Prime 850W) was broken, but after days, I take out the 24 pin power extention cable and voila, all worked as it should. So, beawre of those cables, sometimes are not confident.
Cheers to all

24 pin motherboard power cable?
He said the problem was his power strip, which is strange to me.

That's strange, I just told my own experience, but power strip never was a deal. Extended cables like cablemod or others sometimes fails, that's all.
