Have an asus rog thor psu and finally got my eps cables in. Pc is currently running stable with a corsair hxi1000 but it's time for and upgrade if you guys can help me out some more on advice for wiring a 1600w rog thor. When connecting my new psu the pc turns on but my aio doesnt turn on like it normally does with my corsair so it won't boot with new psu that I ordered 2 8pin eps connectors for so I made progress but it's still not perfect asus support says I will need a 16pin psu cable. So I am awaiting cablemods to ship out my 16pin psu cable I already have the 2 eps cables but am wondering if I would also need a new motherboard cable to go with the rest of my cablemods wires to get this project completed. Do all cables from the psu need to be matching????would you recommend all cablemods so I don't waste any more time. Have power to the mother board with stock cables and pc turns on just wont boot like it normally does need some advice if you know if pc will boot without having matching cables. Can't figure out why my 600w gpu cable that came with the new psu wont work it looks similar to the one I have connected to my corsair

Tried the cablemods pro kit but I didn't get in my cablemods gpu 16pin psu connector yet nor have I heard any information from asus after they recommended this. So just got the email that it is being shipped will try the 16pin gpu cable from cablemods and hopefully let you know that it works!

Update!! Pc connected to corsair psu will boot my pc without gpu cable connected and my ddr5 glows white. Connecting my new asus rog thor 1600t with mobo and cpu connections the pc starts but the ddr5 rgb glows rainbow. And my aio wont turn on. Does this mean I need a new mobo cable from cable mods I am not sure if I can mix cables from fully modular sets and custom cables

Hello,
Never mix modular cables from different power supplies, the wiring can be completly different to the point of shorting out something on the board.
So remove all the old corsair cables.
As to your custom cables, if they are simply working as extension cables you can still use them. (pin to pin so there is no crossover with wiring on custom cables)

Powersupplys each have there own set of cables i just currently have the pc running stable with thr corsair but am trying to diagnose the issues I'm having while upgrading to the rog thor. With the rog thor I am not able to boot with stock mobo cable while using cablemod eps cpu connectors. Can't figure out the reason behind this guess I'm going to have to buy another wire and see if I can get the new powersupply to work

Maybe I missed something but you mentioned this,
"With the rog thor I am not able to boot with stock mobo cable while using cablemod eps cpu connectors."
With all stock cables, stock motherboard, stock EPS (0 cablemods used), does it work?

Ordered through cablemods and thought I was only going to need 2 8pin eps connectors. Connected them when my psu arrived and it didn't work so I ended up ordering a full cablemods kit to replace the stock motherboard connector and it still doesn't work. Just lights up my rgb. It doesn't turn on my qled lights

Stock definitely doesn't work it won't even boot pc to get the ddr5 to light up. With the 8pin eps i ordered it will turn on my ddr5 but it doesn't boot up no qleds and no aio power for some reason
