RMA or repaste.

Is there a step by step guide to do a repaste on the chipset

RMA is no longer option for me the motherboard has been with me for 2 years only had time set it up

Or just a 8cm fan blowing toward the general area. I have two of those fans joined together to make a free standing block with a mesh dust filter to stop dust collecting on the motherboard from the air flow - very effective. A re-paste would be good, but fans are so easy. My PCH used to be 69C when I got the machine, with a bit of case fan optimisation as well, my PCH is now normally about 56C. If your temps are higher, I think you'd get a bigger reduction.

You can also reduce PCH voltages to midpoints in the BIOS tweaker's paradise as well. Mine are set to 0.92V and 0.76V which will give another 3C reduction. Some people can manage setting those voltages to minimum values for a 5C saving, but I get WHEA errors if I do that on my board.
