Hi, Recently, my computer started turning off at random times, and stopped turning on with the button on the case panel. To turn it on, I have to completely unplug it and wait until all the LEDs turn off and the motherboard lights up. The only way to turn it on is to press and hold the cmos reset button on the back of the motherboard. (it doesn't always work, sometimes it takes me 5 minutes to start it. I have the latest bios 2801, I replaced the power supply, it's not its fault.
My components:
- Asus Strix Z790-H Gaming Wifi
- i7 13700 kf
- Msi RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio
- Asus Rog 850W
- DDR5 Trident Z 2x16 GB

strange idea to propose, to test the physical functionality of the power button, remove the jumper on the motherboard and try to use the reset button as the power button. highly unlikely in this day and age, but sounds like a problem i had many years ago, stuck in a cycle like an interrupt polling every millisecond.
