Asus Strix z790 H ARGB problem with MB ligths

Dear  company,

I payed 341 Euro to buy ASUS Strix ROG z790 H. All my ARGB lights work (AIO arctic lights, DDR5 corsair lights and Shadow Base FX 800 case lights) except ASUS MB ARGB lights.

They only give a color during system boot. So it looks like your own product - ASUS ARMOURY CRATE - is not able to identify its own hardware - MB ARGB lights. Do you feel embarrassed, at least just a bit?

I do expect your help as this is your product by I must say I am deeply disappointed by ASUS, it isn't anymore a company that it used to be, too bad.

Thank you

Ivan

You can set Armoury Crate to control the lights when the PC is on and when it's off. Look at shutdown settings and see if that helps.

Are MB lights supposed to go on or off only during system power on or of?

I am confused. Thank you

Well there's a good question. My Polymo display used to be on when the machine was on and not lit when the machine was shutdown. Now it's the complete opposite. I haven't tried to change anything for ages as I made a display from LED light strips powered from the ARGB motherboard headers (3x 42 LEDs) that looks good when playing music (using the Aura music setting). I'm pretty sure you can get the motherboard lighting to do pretty much what you prefer if you just experiment (within its limitations, the Polymo display on mine only has a small set of effects).

My Asus B550 WiFi II machine has the motherboard lights on, both when the machine is active and shutdown. I haven't installed Armoury Crate on that one, so I guess that's the default.
