Asus ROG Maximus Z790Dark Hero QCode 29 and 30

Brand new build.  Dark Hero, Intel i9 13900KF, 192 gb ddr5 corsair 5600, Nvidia 2080 graphics.  Boot to Win11 Media Creation USB, load windows, get it open and then the graphics goes dark and I have a QCode 30.  Everywhere on these formus it's waking from sleep but I am just getting windows going and loading mobo drivers or asus software and it shuts off the graphics.  Mobo still awake but code 28 29 and 30 on the QCode.  12 attempts, reduced memory, swapped memory from a working Z790, changed video cards.  ASUS support was ni help on the phone.

Ideas?

Hello,
Can you be more specific? What exactly are you doing at the point the display switches off? For instance, it's normal for the display to turn off momentarily whilst the GPU driver is installed. Code 30 is indeed a Resume S3 (awake from sleep).

Are you using a riser cable?

Check the support page to ensure you're on the latest VBIOS for the GPU.
