Try the windows update optional list see if anything there is what you need. When I upgraded to the 6950x from 5930k I had a USB error too. It was fixed with that.

PS- its called intel driver support assistant, not saying it will fix it but... ya never know

Aside from attempting to use the assistant, best to plug in each of one's peripherals/USB Devices until the error is visible within Device Manager to isolate the device.

had the same problem except it was causing bluetooth not to load. try this shut down your computer switch off power supply unplug it then while unplugged press and hold start button for about 10 seconds to get rid off excess current then reconnect everything then start computer it worked for me.

usb controller Port_#0004.Hub_#0002 Z690 ASUS TUF I think a few days ago I uninstalled it. Noticed it back today but no known issue expect a page fault this morning . I have disabled the device since I cant make any sense about any controller not loaded or working. The new Metal 3.1 doesnt have anything plugged into it. I tried to install a front panel into it but it wanted to conflict with my gigabyte monitor and its control software. The monitor would say two gigabyte monitor is found. Very poor drivers and software at gigabyte. So I sent that back.

Today I have just disabled the device. I hope it still doesnt cause any events later.

Thanks, this same exact thing happened to me.  Windows was not even detecting that bluetooth existed.  Tried restarts, driver updates, driver rollback, etc.  Found your post, restarted without AC plugged in and held power button down for 10+ seconds, booted up and voila, working. How strange.  But again, Thank you!

I'm here in Brazil and I found your post after 5 hours of fixing my pc, I switched off the source for 10 seconds, and magically everything went back to normal, even the 3dconnexion Spacenavigator came back to life..thank you🖖

Not your USB device issue. But your USB host controller driver issue. Please search for fellow member MoKiChU driver page for more recent update.

Thanks will do. Found out one of my USB HOTAS X56 Rhino was plugged in the back. I had a USB device that was alerted without a driver.....that was it.

I will check the page.

In event viewer there are instances of the board complaining about the Intel ethernet port driver. I have uninstalled reinstalled and updated that driver. No perticular problem just issue time stamps....weird.
