Hi everyone once again. About two weeks ago I was experiencing problems with my ASUS encore and 14900k it was giving me intermittent error 53 and error 55 on boot ups especially on a cold boot. Switched from xmp 1 to xmp 2 and was running flawlessly for about two weeks then today goes to turn it on and same thing has happened error 53 I’m really lost with this as I don’t get it it has been running great for nearly two weeks any ideas on what it could be? Don’t really want to run the ram stock as I’ve purchased 7200mhz only seems to be when it’s been switched off by wall for a bit. Could it be room temp?

Hi @Stittyuk
If the issue only occurs after the AC has been cycled then the issue is related to memory training and the applied overclock is not stable enough to pass POST stress tests consistently. Enabling MRC Fastboot may help, as this will retain the memory parameters from the last successful POST.

Cheers silent scone il check that when I get home it’s really mind boggling as been running great for nearly two weeks since I changed it to xmp 2 profile. It has been previously ram tested aswell with no issues. Can’t see it being faulty ram or motherboard can you? It boots once you power down and reboot il try your solution and get back to you cheers pal

Unlikely to be anything like that and far more likely to be OC-related.

Don’t get it how it’s worked flawless then does it again after nearly two weeks it’s strange. I didn’t think on xmp 2 it trained and set the timings that the memory module has programmed or is that incorrect?

It uses the default DIMM timings, yes. However, this is still overclocking.
You can try increasing VDD and VDDQ first off. You may have to experiment with what works. VCCSA, MCVDD and IVR (TX VDDQ) are key. However, I would firstly check that the issue does not occur at optimised defaults.

Got same issue other day running stock bios settings no xmp I really think it’s the cold it’s very strange like a dry solder joint or something. I’m returning my motherboard weekend and I’m going to buy a new cpu and ram

MRC fast boot is already enabled pal

Got to be a training issue hasn’t it should I try enable dram high voltage and adjusting vddq to 1.45 and vdd to 1.45?

ive also emailed asus support now as i feel lost with this issue its so tempermental it doesnt make sense how it can work day in day out for nearly two then get error again?
