Are the fans on GT301 Asus case controllable via Z690 ?

I have Z690 motherboard in GT301 case and I want to know why the chassis fans are not controllable via the FAN EXPERT Software.

In BIOS the motherboard detects the chassis fans, and their speed, but cannot control the speed of the chassis fans .. Do I have to buy new fans that support RPM control ?

In BIOS and Armory Crate - I can control the lightning effects but not the speed. The fans are connected with their 3 pin plugs into the motherboard chassis headers...

Try changing the type of Fan in Bios. Likely on Auto try changing it to PWM or DC , depending on fan.

I have my Case fans in the Cases fan hub that has a single PWM connctor to the motherboard. Other fans, on my radiator connect to the motherboard the same way, PWM connectors. All but the HUB are set to Auto. The hub doesn't work, just like yours, when set to Auto. If I manually set it to PWM it works as it should.

Hello,

As above, both the120mm Aura Sync RGB fans and 140mm fan are PWM and should be controllable. Check QFAN within the UEFI and select PWM.
