1304 bios on Apex z690 works great

After installing 1304 bios I can finally run XMP without lowering the frequency to make it stable. I'm running F5-6000U3636E16GX2-TZ5K cl36 36 36 76 1.3v with no problems.

Are you using XMP II or just XMP?

XMP 2. I haven't tried xmp 1 yet. xmp 1 gave me more of a problem then xmp 2.

I tried xmp 1 and found 1 is slightly fast in cinebench than 2. Both are stable.

Yeah, it solved the issue on my DIMMs as well. Running 3600Mhz on XMPII with Corsair Vengeance (CMW16GX4M2D3600C18) as well. Haven't tried XMPI yet. Had more problems with XMPI than XMPII for me as well.

Got new updates on Armory Crate too. RGB lightings are smoother than before and showing few new options in FanXpert now.

I will take it back after more testing xmp1 is not stable for me. I'm doing tests on xmp 2 now. So far xmp2 is stable. If I run into problems I will post my findings.

I'm back with xmp 2 at 5800mhz. That is no better than the previous bios.

sup, u did a drowngrade bios? if yes, how u did that downgrade? i never did that.

No different than updating. Use Ez Flash in bios or Flashback and you can go back to older bios.

ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 1304, just installed all seems stable. Only issue the 3 booms from speakers still there???
