1003 default doesn't recognize the 2 SSD on Z690 hyper M.2 card

BIOS can recognize the 2 SSD on hyper M.2 card,
But when boot into windows 11, only one was recognized by OS.

The previous BIOS doesn't has this issue. Also I found other guys in overclock.net reported the same issue.

And proably it may related to PCH ASPM AUTO default settings.

If marked it as DISABLED, both BIOS and windows 11 can see the 2 SSD on hyper m.2 card.

This is a basic function you are selling, I supposed that asus bios development team didn't test what they are delivered.

SO we are heros to test ?!

Note, all things are up to date and I know these settings.

Disappointed.

My MB is ROG_STRIX_Z690-E_GAMING_WIF

I was trying many thkngs but did not work until i read the manual of the MB. Here is what I did

1. make sure you insert your Hyper m.2 card in the PCIEX 16 (G4) slot which is located in the bottom of the MB that next to the internal battery. Other 2 slots won't work AT ALL. To that I had to remove 2 fans so that I can have the space to install the Hyper card.

2. enter the BIOS V 1304 With Onboard Device Configuration/M.2-3 Configurations set to PCIE. & PCIEX16 (G4) Mode set to Dual M.2 SSD. It should work by now as it worked for me!

3. If it doesnot, then someone above said "I still had the problem so I changed ASM1061 Configuration/ASPM Support to Disabled and problem fixed. Both drives were recognised in BIOS and in Windows. Hope this helps"

The key is not on the BIOS setting. It is the Slot 4 as you can see the the attached photo. Only slot 4 can recongised the second m.2 card. You need to find out from the MB user manuel which slot can take 2 m.2 card. There must be one if the Hyper card come with the MB.

Good luck.
