Just downloaded it. Looks like the microcode fixes for the AVX removal are there. I'm still trying to run 64gigs. Gonna see if this update helps at all.

I'm on version 0811 and is it worth changing?

So updated to this new version 1003, it got rid of my gpu q-led light coming on when ever I restarted or started up my rig. The audio issue is still there with the 3 booms going off at restart or start up.
I think the q-led light issue was with fast start up being enabled in bios and win 11.

I disabled it and have not seen that issue return yet, crossing fingers that it fixed the issue.

Enabled XMP profile 1, no issues.

Running fine but will see in a few days.

I had the same problem with flashing red on the GPU, I turned off my pc and unplugged the power cable for 5mn and since then everything is ok.

seems to be recurrent with some BIOS updates, I found old posts that talk about this.

I steel have the same problems:
- SLI (NVLINK) not working.
- DDR5 Corsair Dominator 5600 not working with XMPI or XMPII.

Bad release... amazing in ASUS, i've never see this before...

I was running for about 7 hours with no issues but finally crashed. A quick look with WinDbg shows SamsungMagicianSVC.exe and ntkrnlmp.exe at fault. This was with a standard XMP II overclock.

I uninstalled the faulting application (Magician) for now and will give it another go.

Update: Crashed again (LightingService.exe). I'm going to go have to my modified voltages. on XMP II

Hey guys,

There was a thread a while ago
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?127651-ROG-STRIX-Z690-G-GAMING-WIFI-CPU-Cache-and-Video-St...

Does anyone who have upgraded could check whether the behavior is the same on the new BIOS?
The thing is when you disable Virtualization , you are getting correct L1 and L2 cpu cache values and in terms of benchmarks I am getting better results.

I am running i512600k with G skill trident 16x2 5600mhz XMP I, rock solid. Would rather not upgrade anything unless necessary.

This is what we all should do if not broken don't fix it ...stop updating

I don't agree with this, bios update sometimes contains security fixes, new featurea, bug fixes ecc. ecc. But ok it's a question of tastes.

Security fixes can sometimes impact overclocking, so by disagreeing with him you're also agreeing with him.

Combining kits and then blaming compatibility breaking with BIOS updates are mutually exclusive problems.

Hi, updated my TUF Gaming Z690 Plus WIFI D4 to 1003 BIOS but noticed that Intel ME firmware wasn't updated. BIOS changelog clearly states: "03. Update Intel ME FW to 16.0.15.1620 V3" so why wasn't ME firmware updated for me? Very odd. Attaching photo of my BIOS screen.
