Just downloaded it. Looks like the microcode fixes for the AVX removal are there. I'm still trying to run 64gigs. Gonna see if this update helps at all.

Running the latest bios and I am unable to run XMP I or II with G.Skill 2 x 16 DDR4 ram (F4-4266C16D-32GVK).

0901 bios no issues running XMP II with stock speeds and timings. XMP I would run after under clocking the frequency lower.

Flashing back to 0901 until this gets addressed.

Running 1003 on a maximus formula board with a 32G 2 sticks of G.skill trident Z 5 15G each (F5-6000U4040E16G) 6000mhz has anybody even got them to run anywhere what there speeds should be at ? it is just utter crap that we are paying this amount of £££ for a setup that cant even run at a xmp 1 or 2 profile and not reach past speeds of a x4 16G or corsair vengeance pro 32G setup at 3200mhz,

(i can run mine at xmp 1 & 2)

other than that my current setup is running at 3000mhz tried upping voltage and nothing,

Running fine on my Z690 Prime aside from my WD Black SN850 randomly disappearing and having to reboot for it to show up again.
XMP stable 5600mhz Corsair ram. No BSOD, no stability issues thus far.
12700k multicore enhancement off stock clocks.
WIndows 11 latest build.

I have identical build to yours. I haven't been able to run a game on auto, xmp1, xmp2, w/ and w/o voltage changes. I'm able to boot pass memtest, pass a cinebench test, but as soon as I launch any game, it'll either freeze the system immediately or within 5-10 min. I haven't gotten a BSOD after I figured out how to get my rig to boot, but now I'm struggling with stability. I also have m.2 drives in M2_2 and M2_3 and 1 SATA SSD drive.

I've recently upgraded to 1003 and now every time the system powers up / restarts it posts in safe mode. I have to use boot override to boot into my Windows 11 installation. Boot up procedure takes 4 minutes before I get the safe post error. Blank screen with no display signal up until that point. Motherboard LED's are not indicating that the board is stuck on any particular part of the boot up.

Anyone have a similar issue?

Im running an Asus hero z690, I have always bought Asus and I have to say whilst 12th gen has been a vast upgrade to my old 9900ks , I cannot say it is as stable and reliable and the bios support has been and remains disappointing.

*So far I have tried 803 and 811 that have both worked reasonable well, but 1003 for me is a nightmare and for some reason my pc gpu performance is decimated when using it, I’ve tried toggling the gpu bar switch either way, nothing makes any difference other than rolling back to either 803 or 811, when it then runs fine.
It’s disappointing because 1003 has been out a while now and clearly is buggy, I’d hoped for a replacement by now, but sadly nothing has appeared.

*To confirm my build is
12900K
Asus ROG hero z690
Asus ROG Strix 3090 OC
32Gb Z5. G-skill running at 6000mhz
3 x Samsung 1TB 980 Pro M.2 drives

Why 1003 Affects my fps I am not sure, I have run fire strike benchmark to test it and the graphic all score goes from around 20k on bios 811 to around 6k on 1003, this then is Obviously reflected in gameplay and I can barely hit 30fps in PUBG for example using 1003 bios, it’s painful.
But as soon as I switch back to either 803 or 811 it all runs fine, so I’m forced to run 811 until Asus release a better and more stable Â*updated bios sadly.
I’d also like to see the memory support improved - I say his as I know if I splash out for another identical 32Gb kit it won’t even boot and this has been shown umpteen times on you tube, so I’m reluctant to make that investment.

I have*always been an early adopter as an enthusiast of over 30 years now and I’ve always bought Asus/ROG products for at least the last 15-20 years.
But this platform is not quite as good as I had hoped it would be and I very nearly binned it all out and went back to my i9 9900KS as it was bulletproof and totally hassle free, for me the 12th has proved to be just that so far = hassle frankly.
Mine will do XMP 1 and 2 but sadly despite it advertising XMP 3 no XMP option appears and I cannot say hand on heart it is as stable as it should be running it either
What I’m basically saying is please hurry up and release a decent bios Asus
With better memory support so it runs as it should and stable as well.
At the moment it isn’t really good enough *

Hi,
I have also installed 1003 now using the BIOS Utility. But now it doesn't boot any more. Tried reflashing using the FlashBack button (BIOS on USB). But same thing, monitors are not receiving any signal. Tried flashing back 0811 using FlashBack. But same, no signal after turning on. Keyboard and mouse RGB working.
Q-LED is light yellow (DRAM)

ASUS Z690-F Gaming WIFI Mobo
G.Skill Trident Z DDR5 6000 RAM(2X16GB)
RTX 3080Ti
ASUS ROG STRIX 1000 watt PSU

Any recommendation on how to get back to 0811 version?
Edit: I have also tried to Clear CMOS, with pc unplugged. Same issue. No signal to monitors.

Just to add, Z690 Hero here with a 12900K and 32gb DDR5 XPG Lancer 5200mhz C38, was perfectly stable on 0811 at XMP, and seems to still be perfectly stable on 1003.

I replaced a G.Skill 2x16 kit (F5-6000U3636E16G) this weekend and the system is MUCH more stable.

I replaced it with the exact same kit, and I was able to set it to XMP 2 and stress testing, memtest, etc. all passed this weekend and haven't had a single BSOD while playing games. YMMV, but it looks like my old kit was the issue.

I did try 4x16 (2x F5-6000U3636E16G) but the only way it would boot was at DDR5-4000, trying to set XMP 1 or 2 with looser timings (40-40-40-80) and more voltage (1.40) and the system wouldn't even post.

I'm going to try the Corsair Dominator 6200 (4x16 and 2x16) on Tuesday.

Hi Sunfox,
I have the same exact RAM modules, but with 12600K and with a STRIX Z690 G-Gaming MOBO I had many issues on 0811 at XMP, with no XMP the system is instead perfectly stable; I've not yet upgraded to 1003.
Did you change any of the other settings in the BIOS to attain stability on 0811 or was it stable out-of-the-box ?
Thank you
