My motherboard is the ASUS - ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI (Socket LGA 1700) Intel Z790 ATX DDR5 Wi-Fi 6E Motherboard  and everything is at stock value except I am DRAM Frequency set to 6000mhz for my ram.

CPU is 14900K with Corsair H150i Elite LCD XT

R23 score was 33k

Does my Voltage look normal?

Ok great, I'd be interested to know how the CPU VID voltage is with the Best Case Scenario setting.

LLC = Load Line Calibration. You may not need to play with this setting at default settings, but you can try a lower number. Each number will lower the maximum cpu voltage, going too low will cause instability. You can also use offsets to lower the maximum cpu voltage which is more precise.

LLC controls cpu voltage undershoot and overshoot.

An example is, say I'm setting 1.450v in the bios, but my maximum Vcore is showing 1.465v. I can lower the LLC setting a number to drop the maximum voltage.

LLC at Level 6 works well for me.

1.1 to 1.2 i was seeing but I couldnt even maintain 60 fps in gray zone warfare and I usually get 120ish. I forgot to take a screen shot, internet took over a minute to load under best case

Oh when you said LLC I thought you meant this20241208_225557.jpg

Ok, yeah use whatever works best for you.

I notice your memory timings look high at 50-50-50-95.

Are these the correct timings for your memory kit?

I tried best case with LLC 6.  Murder on performance.   God tier on vcore

No it should be 32-40-40-104 @ 6400

I appreciate you helping me.  Since I can return the cpu and mobo until January I think Ill just run everything stock other than my DRAM frequency at 6000 and see if it remains stable or not.  I dont have the best 14900k, based of r23 stock setting score, only getting 33 to 34k  But it is stable.

Here is my bios settings.  Just gonna enjoy the free heat and turn the heat off in the house haha

Ok,

After having a closer look at your HWinfo, your memory is running at 6000MHz but with default voltages and way high timings.

VDDQ TX voltage (IVR Transmitter VDDQ) is at 1.10v, this should be at 1.40v.

Dram VDD and VDDQ voltages are at 1.10v, these should be at 1.40v and up to 1.45v if needed.

CPU System Agent voltage (VCCSA) is at 1.31v, this is ok, you can manually set it to 1.32v.

IMC VDD (Memory Controller voltage) looks good at 1.38v, you can set this to 1.40v.

So, set those voltages, then the timings will tighten up a good bit. This will improve game performance and should help with minimum frames per second.

Thanks, Ill work on that next weekend, cause everytime I mess with the ram, it goes down for  atleast 30 minutes(the time it takes me to go upstairs, shut down the other pc, pull the ram out, come back down stairs and swap it to trigger a reset.   Clear Cmos on the motherboard doesnt do anything.

This is full default minus the ram.  Ill work on tweaking it.  Thanks again!

Certainly, when you get to it, come back to your thread. Refer to page 2 for the voltages.

Are you shutting down your pc, then clearing the cmos?

Press and hold the clear cmos button for 3 seconds then boot up.

I dont feel comfortable keeping this cpu as it has all the tell tale signs my 13700k had before rma.  My post rma 13700k is actually faster.

I am returning it today and picking up the core ultra 7 265k and an asus rog strix 890 mobo.  Thanks for all the help
