My motherboard is the ASUS - ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI (Socket LGA 1700) Intel Z790 ATX DDR5 Wi-Fi 6E Motherboard  and everything is at stock value except I am DRAM Frequency set to 6000mhz for my ram.

CPU is 14900K with Corsair H150i Elite LCD XT

R23 score was 33k

Does my Voltage look normal?

Your CPU probably isn't likely able to use Best Case.

1. Remount the AIO, and check for consistent mounting pressure.

2. Clear CMOS

3. Set SVID Behaviour Typical

4. Disable CEP

5. Retest

The VID is preprogrammed at factory by Intel, and differs depending on the strength of the silicon. i.e., some chips will have higher operating voltage at stock than others - not all CPUs will respond the same way to manipulating SVID Behaviour (ACLL). For the record, SP98 isn't bad. Retest after conducting the above.

Try changing SVID Behavior on bios to "Typical Scenario", also do Global Core SVID Voltage Offset -0.035v, this is what I use on my 13900k, hope it works for you.

I dont know how to do an offset.  Every video I watched shows a different bios than mine so I dont wanna screw anything up.

I tried Typlcal Scenario and my R23 score dropped from 33/34k to 20k  Voltage never went above 1.3, but it cripled the score and made programs take forever to open

Disable CEP.

Hello ManCaveMike

What you posted is the VID which is the requested cpu voltage, it does look a bit on the high side, but not too concernable. What to pay attention to is the Vcore as this is the supplied voltage to the cpu.

I'm running the 12700KF with an all core P-Core overclock of 5.2GHz using 1.45v. I have the cpu on a custom water loop.

What's your maximum Vcore going to?

Hi, I joined a discord pc builder group and somebody suggested I change my IA VR to 1423 and nothing else.

I have done that, pc runs stable, no fps loss, my score on r23 took a hit, but I am gaming, not setting records.

So atm the only changes I made is DRAM Frequency to 6000mhz because xmp wont work on my ram (not on qvl)

and  ia vr to 1423.  I have until January to decide to return or swap the cpu.   Ive not had any crashes, and it runs stable.

This is 4k 120hz(I usually game at 4k 144hz, 4k 120hz or 1440p 180hz so I am not too cpu limited)

Does this look ok or should I not be playing with the ia vr?

I dont recall what the max vrcore was I can set my bios to default and check.  but I know my games will increase by 20c

I'm not sure I have the ia vr setting and if I do, I never fooled with it. I'm using the ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming WiFi.

What you have there looks good for the cpu voltage, the maximum Vcore shows 1.341v, with the VID at 1.370v.

Your cpu temps look good and consistent also.

What memory kit do you have? With some voltage tuning, you may be able to get it running at its rated specs.

My ram is cancer to XMP

XMP will kill the pc, and CMOS clear doesnt recover.  I made a 30 minute video but a mod didnt want to watch it, everything he suggested I had tried in advance on the video.  Nobody replied to that thread since.  I gave up on the ram.   I can get 6000mhz by settings DRAM frequency to 6000.  I dont want to try anymore because I have to take the ram out of my other pc and pop it in just to reset the bios.  never had that issue with gigabyte.  This is my first  Asus board, doesnt even have ethernet drivers when installing windows, had to lookup how to offline install 11 then download drivers to a usb stick.  Reminded me of windows xp days.

But when I run the CPU on default settings games will get up to 85c ish and heats the room alot.

With ia vr at 1423 my games dont go over 68 ish.  My R23 score sucks either way, cant get it over 34k, but its stable atleast.

Ill reset my bios later and run some games and r23 and post the result

Path of Exile 4k RTX 4080 I9 14900K 1.423 IA VR test
Here is with my ia vr at 1423 bios settings.

Going to default bios and see the difference.  Will post in a few
