Hello, after updating bios to 1801, rollback to version earlier than 1701 is not possible. For me best version is 0902, motherboard post very quickly.
I'm furious is there a way to bypass this, modify a bios file or something else?
I tried ez flash and usb flashback.
sorry for my english

Who knows what that means. When they first posted the 1903, the text said that upgrading to the BIOS would update the ME firmware then they changed it to the present reading a day or two later.
As I said before the Bios does not contain the microcode that addresses downfall and impacts performance go tenth gen processors. Someone else posted the same for 11th gen in this thread. It did have a newer version ( F0 -> F4 for me, and F8 is the downfall version), but I have been running that in a modded bios for some time. I also found no performance drops from the ME firmware, which I have been running for months

If I change the microcode from an older bios, e.g. 0902, can such a bios be uploaded via USB flashback? What program did you use to do this in UefiTool? I keep wondering why the computer booted very quickly with BIOS version 0902 and newer BIOS versions are a disaster. This is most noticeable when you restart Windows and hang on the code 4F,69,80 for a long time, does it look like this for you too? Cold boot is a bit faster

I know you are asking @PerpetualCycle a question but if you don't mind I gotta ask what do you consider a fast boot, what does your task manager>startup tab show for boot time?
For reference iirc my PC restarts in 13.8sec. And I'm currently on bios 1701. I turn off fast startup in win 11 btw.

I don't mean the system startup speed, but the time from pressing the power button to showing the system loading screen. The motherboard takes a long time to initialize components.
As I wrote earlier, when you restart the computer, it hangs on the codes 4F,69,80 for the longest time, cold boot is a bit better.
link to video motherboard post codes (bios downgraded to 1701 version but 1903 is the same)
I remember that in BIOS 0902 there was no such problem, but unfortunately rollback is no longer officially possible.
It's possible, but risky, you can lose your Mac Address, serial number, etc.

Switched from 1701 to 1903 and its quite a bit quicker to post. I have a heavily overclocked set of ram. It only took 1 reboot and then instantly posted. Where as 1701 took 4-5 reboots iirc and took forever to show the loading screen after first post of the new bios in 1701 when setting up my saved bios. But after i got 1903 and loaded up my same saved bios and it did 1 reboot it was instant. it would take ~20 secs for 1701 now its down to under 15 in 1903. This new bios is actually really good. Didnt see much deference in cb23 for scores, however I did go from 39.2ns to just over 40 for my ram latency in aida64 extreme. Might have to see if i can bring that back down under 40.
